Sounds like Darlow will be going to ‘Boro. Good solid championship GK and a definite upgrade for them.
Be interesting to see Everton's stance on this. Couple of EFC supporting mates are expecting him to be offered a new contract, which I find bizarre - realistically he's a distance away from their 1st team and at 24 he surely has to be playing week in, week out..... Wonder if Broadhead will be our new Borini? ****ing hope not
I wouldnt be too concerned about Broadhead injuries. I am sure it can be managed, like Ryan Giggs did. At the right price he is a must buy for me, and Alex Neil loves him.
I believe we already have targets already in place and will have been working on them since before the play off final. I'm quietly confident our recruitment will suprise us and be done early
100% agree with this. AN doesn't come across as a bloke who leaves things late or to chance, For the first time in MANY years we have a good solid manager and he should supported to the hilt by the board, which I think he will be
Barkhuizen from Preston was linked before the play offs, the player allegedly said him signing depended on how the play offs went, possibly more of a league one signing?
According to this we are still looking to sign Hoffman for around 600 euro https://www.sport1.de/news/fussball...ulreich-in-torhuter-hierarchie-kommt-bewegung RON-TORBEN HOFFMANN / 23 / End of contract 2023 The Rostock native was on loan to FC Sunderland for the past season and was a top performer there from day one. After four years in the third English league, the Black Cats now managed to return to the championship via the playoffs - also thanks to Hoffmann. The 23-year-old therefore also feels very comfortable on the island and wants to continue playing regularly. An impossibility as long as Neuer is still under contract with the Bavarians. (NEWS: All news and rumors from the transfer market) Hoffmann joined the Munich offspring from RB Leipzig in 2015 and worked his way with diligence and discipline from the U17 to the U19 to the first team of the FCB. However, he is still waiting for his professional debut with the Bavarians. After the successful rise, Sunderland will probably now draw the purchase option for Hoffmann, which was negotiated in the loan business. This should be within its market value of 600,000 euros.
€600 is a bargain. At that price I might have a look about to see if I have any euros knocking about to chuck in to the fund! All seriousness he is a good business at 600k and worth getting in. Let the two young lads push each other for the first team. We should 100% be looking at Clarke and Broadhead on permanent deals. I'd go for both in loan but with the caveat that I would be looking for someone permanent in their position as I want to build for the long term not short term.
Its not a bad deal, and good business as we would have three top young keepers on our books taking in young Carney who could be the best of the three if he maintains this years performances.
I hope thats not true. Having our first and second choice Keepers under the age of 23 is a no from me. We need someone with experience and to help bring Patterson on. Keepers dont peak until their late 20s. On top of that, i didn't see anything from him to suggest he'd be a success for us.
This has been both their first season playing first team football, and even then Hoffs has been very limited. To have them as our 2 keepers in the Championship next season would be a big worry for me.
I get your drift, it would only make sense as an investment or cover for Patterson who is by far the better of the two. imo.
Ive just discovered another reason why keeping Dajaku here next season is a good idea. Heres his mam . I hope i bump into her next season in the Colliery tavern .
