As I say I fear all the eggs are being plopped into the AFCON basket and its going to be too late.

André Onana - Keeper
Jerome Onguene - Defender
Seko Fofana - Midfielder
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - Striker

Nah, it's a bit like takeover deadlines. We move on to the next theory, then the next and before you know it, 1st Feb and we've ended with Trippier, Cantwell and Ayoze Perez on loan. Watford laugh and say "down the right we go".

We don't know exactly what's going on, but I agree with you as I don't believe it's as challenging as is made out and I also know from experience that Saudi's will just flex, because they can.

"Botman, how much?"
"Not for sale."
"You've got £100m debt, how much?"
"Ok, £60m"
"**** off. £30m?"
"No. £50m"
"Call it £40m?"
"Done".

Next. Bollocks is it any more difficult than that. As I said earlier, all of the below are FREE in June/July. ****ing FREE. Now some clubs might be able to just hold out as they don't need the cash, like Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Juve. But a LOT of these clubs cannot afford to let £20m just disappear for the sake of 5 months. So how on ****ing earth haven't we signed like 8 players for about £120m and offloaded some of our utter **** for around £20m?

CB - Ginter, Tarkowski, Felipe, Romagnoli, Denayer, Zagadou, Christensen. Not one of these would cost more than £20m now.
MF - Brozovic, Kessie, Zakaria, Grillitsch, Isco, Kamara. The first two might be slightly more, but the rest? Well under £20m. Four of these are DM's.
FW - Dybala, Lacazette, Dembele, Belotti, Aznoun, Brereton Diaz, Origi. Yeah, we're not getting Dybala and Lacazette's not likely. But the rest? They're not pricey. Get two or three just to have options.

Or the alternative is try to survive with Clark, Lascelles, Ritchie, Shelvey, Hayden and Longstaff. I mean, I've seen some ****ing no-brainers in my time, but this takes the piss. And this is just the out-of-contract players - haven't our scouts supposedly been working this past 2 or 3 years on finding other players??

Madness.
I agree and I refer to my prior emails about the actions of the nee regime.

Im worried I was right. They may be tyre kickers. They are to slow.

Problem I think is that they have a budget set and I think that's around £125m.

They then thought they only need 3 maybe 4 at a push positions and have since realised we need 5 to 6 minimum.

They then thought a CB was only going to cost them at most £30m.

Then realised we need 2 strikers, one of which is a starter and they've just realised all decent ones are North of £50m.

They really haven't done any work since takeover on the transfer front.
I said that yesterday. Nobody believed me and basically said I was over reacting. I wasn’t. I’m seeing it for what it is.

If they don’t sign players pre Watford and soon they will be deemed a failure in my eyes because it’s such an important game.

And as @Roland Deschain says negotiations are a lot easier than a lot of people on here are making it. The deal can be agreed in principle and the finer points done afterwards.

This is getting farcical. The only transfer we have made is a right back that we don’t need and is mates with Howe.

So WTF have the owners actually been doing?

I'll allow this.

I'm just struggling to understand why Nickson, Howe, Hammond and the scouts aren't ready to go?

I'm also struggling with commercial income. Where's the big sponsor deals? Why take SD down? Where's Saudia, Saudi Telecom, Aramco deals? The Aramco Stadium?

None of these things that were supposed to happen have happened. Instead we've got Howe, Hammond and Trippier.
Tyre kickers? Kids with to much money. They didn’t appoint the right people. I said it yesterday and I’ve said it in the last.

They are up to press of this message making many mistakes. Taking too long. And making me worry.

My current rating is a 5/10.

It is making feel a smidge uncomfortable like.
I get we're in a very tricky position but, you were swinging your bollocks around before.... Time to plonk on the table and sign a cheque or two (four).

I know we are starting to sound impatient but ****ing hell man - we watch this **** week in week out, we've watched this **** year in year out - We all can't be wrong. I mean FFS 104,000 eyes have got to be better than 2. Don't plonk yer arse down and kind of look at camera (I think that's what happened) and say "we have big plans" blah blah blah, "biggest wealth fund in the world" blah blah blah then deliver a failed scottish football dof (what the ****'s he gonna know about big money transfers) and Chris ****ing Wood man.

The frustrating thing is it's not really AS, MG or JR job to work this out. It's Eddie Howe, it's Nick Hammond, it's Steve Nickson.

Personally I think the worst thing the owners have done is not just going out and employing someone like Luis Campos or Michael Emenalo. ****ing sat here with Steve Nickson, Nick Hammond, who was a disaster at Celtic, and Dan Ashworth being touted for the role? Hardly "best of the best" is it.
I’ve been saying all of this for weeks. I feel your pain.

I think we will have a striker for Watford plus others. Even if we don't I think we will win anyway. The window is what it is, it is a notoriously difficult window where most things happen in the last few days sadly. Hopefully we can buck that trend, but if not we will just have to show a bit more patience.

Howay the lads!

Really, really worrying if no one else is in by the weekend. Trippier was a good start and suggested we'd have what the rest of the PL evidently feared - basically half a new team, enough to win the vital home games coming up and propel to safety. With the current crop of **** we'll be lucky to even draw these fixtures.
