I dont think many people buy a football club and think "by cutting wages we can make a lot of money".
Besides buyers who are fans of the club, I would think people buy a club to raise their profile for other business reasons or will spend money on players in the hope they can sell at a profit in the future.

Joe Hart being released by Burnley, it's hard to think of many players whose careers have dropped off a cliff in as spectacular a style as Joe Hart's. Multiple trophy wins, PL team of the season, golden gloves, England's #1 at Euro 16 then bang. ****ed off by Citeh, Torino, West Ham, England and now Burnley where he's basically 3rd choice keeper.

I suspect that's largely down to the fact that he's ****.

It seemed to have started when Pep told him he was not good enough, and his confidence took a hit which he seems never to have recovered from.

Does anyone know how much it cost for Maddison for 7 appearances?

Loan fee of million quid muted plus wages. Could be nearly 200k per game.

Ehab been financially prudent ey.

It's obviously been a **** deal, but it won't have been anywhere near that much, we obviously didn't pay a £1m fee just for a six month loan.

BREAKING: [HASHTAG]#SWFC[/HASHTAG] trio Morgan Fox, Steven Fletcher and Fernando Forestieri have rejected contract extensions and will leave the club on June 30.

Paul Jones, Kieran Lee and Atdhe Nuhiu have agreed short-term extensions.

Sam Hutchinson and Sam Winnall are to be released.
I'd take Winnall, but we'd never meet 50% of the wages he'd have been on there...

Barnsley released 13 players then, have they got enough players to complete the season?
