HULL CITY have reportedly made the first move for Hibs ace Florian Kamberi. The striker spent the second half of last season on loan at Rangers after joining in January. please log in to view this image He made just nine appearances, scoring once, as his Ibrox stay was cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic. Gers could still look to make Kamberi's move permanent with Alfredo Morelos' future unclear. But the Daily Record say English Championship side Hull have already made an offer for the Swiss forward. They say the Hibees are willing to sell Kamberi for the £150,000 fee they paid to bring him in from Grasshoppers in 2018.
Love it......let the baseless speculation & months of **** all signing begin!! My fave time of the year!!!!
Kamberi looks a useful player and at £150,000 is not massive money. But would you pick Hull City over Rangers?
Rangers have told his agent they don't want make it permanent and our bid is 150k upfront reading to 600k with add one plus a decent sell on clause. Offer not accepted yet but he won't be going back to Hibs next season as they have had a fall out
Lichaj, Irvine, Kingsley and Maddison have not agreed extensions so wont be playing for us again. Wilks is only available for 2 games then going back .https://www.hullcitytigers.com/club-update-player-contracts/
I'm quite shocked by that but if they dont want to play then it's for the best. Will they try to get short term contracts with other clubs? I thought Lichaj, Maddison and Wilks were quite good but I can see that players are scared of staying with a club who might be in League One next season and/or whatever reduced salaries may have been offered.
Lichaj and Irvine gone, cannot understand why we haven't made more effort to retain them, top(ish) earners? Lichaj is head and shoulders our best right back, and whilst i've not always been a fan of Irvine retaining his place in the first 11 he'd always be on the match day squad. I was getting excited about the footy starting up again. I'm bricking it now!
The other players I've seen that we've been linked with: Alexander Milosevic, CB (free agent after leaving Forest in October 2019). Scott Fraser, CM (free agent, Burton Albion) Joe Morrell, CM (Welsh international at Bristol City, just finished a loan spell at Lincoln)
Feel really sorry for Malik Wilks in this too, obv wanted to stay but Barnsley have said hell no, we'll have him back.
Guessing they probably have offers lined up for next season and it isn't worth the risk for them.....
Though we can ill-afford to lose bodies, I wouldn't have Irvine in the starting XI and I wouldn't have Kingsley in the 25. I'm happy with Pennington in for Lichaj and Maddision really hasn't impressed (I suspect many of us didn't expect him to be involved anyway).
It says something about the current state of the club when our team captain pies us off in the midst of a relegation dogfight. Bring back Markus.
