But the intention is there to "pay it back as and when the club need it", so as long as he does that, everyone is happy?
I'm pretty sure that, now the investment has been agreed, the new investors would have identified and dealt with any creative accounting by the owners.
Exactly, I think you're right. They've invested in Madrox, so anything done for personal benefit will have to be ran by them at some stage. This is the best news possible short of a full takeover. If they have oversight, I will trust FPP completely to administer this properly and avoid any conflicts of interest.
What is your opinion on it now @Kittenmittons do you think they would have put the money back in? Surely the yanks would have went over everything with a tooth comb so can't see them letting the owners to take money out and not put it back,
Game, set and match HM. It seems that KM’s credibility is blown by his misunderstanding of some fairly straightforward financial transactions
I don't think either of you have any idea what you're talking about, and actually, we later agreed it was possible either of us could be right. At least you can say that @HeatonMackem isn't the kind of person who spends their evenings after a big takeover talking about something they have no clue about and embarrassing themselves over and over again. Roppa you are an absolutely disgusting man. The way you've gone on about this would shame a child, let alone an older man. You have approached this from day one absolutely unwilling to read anything that doesn't suit your agenda. Embarrassment of a man and a Sunderland fan. I'm glad we've got the takeover and it's not an issue now. That's all that matters.
I don't care about it now. I think we'll be fine (assuming there's oversightbwhich I can't imagine won't be the case). In the end, all I wanted was for Donald to put his money where his mouth is. If he's done that, it's good and I have no qualms in saying that we are better off for it.
Thank **** for that, finally we agree, my view is nobody should care we’ll be fine, it’s their business to run the club which they own how they see fit, and as long as it’s not illegal it’s not our concern, we’re merely customers. If we don’t like it we can go elsewhere and be customers there.
If the Americans thought there was any credence in the alleged skullduggery they wouldn't now be involved. For all the rampant speculation, and sly accusations, there's been absolutely nothing to put off the investment of multi millions. I've no doubt the amateur accountants will continue with their 'smoking gun' announcements but I suspect most people are totally bored with it by now.
Well, we don't actually know any of this to be true yet in fairness. Getting investment doesn't mean any of this was untrue, or not meaningful. It was obviously more relevant without them. Amazing how many people here are willing to suck the dick of an owner and describe themselves as a customer, or give them carte blanche to act how they want. I've said before, but this is great news for the club, but if you think this invalidated what I said, you're ironically putting 2 and 2 together and getting 56. Smug, why did the majority share become a loan? Do you know yet?
"Amazing how many people here are willing to suck the dick of an owner or give them carte blanche to act how they want." How many? I haven't see one person say anything like that, you seem to be inventing a whole raft of people to argue with. And the owners of any club have carte blanch to act as they want and there's nothing you can do about that, as the Mags have been proving for a decade. You may convince yourself you're taking a brave stance and making a difference but posting on a chat forum is totally irrelevant to what happens at the club.
I would suggest that if it was a LOAN rather than a long term investment it would not have taken the time it has , nobody knows the full terms of the investment which I think will be a phased takeover dependent on the level of progress which will be in what I think will be a complex contract/agreement which will account for the time for the deal to come to fruition. Just pleased it is all settled now let’s get back to football .
People like Roppa, but again, I completely disagree with the idea that because he 'bought' the club, that he doesn't have a responsibility to us fans on any level. It may be a business to you, but for most people, it is more than that. Anyway, I actually agree with the last poster, it's hopefully irrelevant now.
Nothing I've ever said, on any forum, would suggest that, what a strange comment. Of course every owner, of any business, has a responsibility to the supporters/clients/whatever ... .... goes without saying.
