Not going to lie, I'm gutted if it is Parkinson. Obviously I'll back the manager and hope he does well, but I can't help feeling it's such an unimaginative and uninspiring appointment. Not to mention the clear fan backlash that SD had already gotten on Twitter before he came off that should have raised his awareness that it wasn't a popular choice at a time he's struggling with fan happiness.
I've said already, Stendel would be my choice, young and hungry manager who plays exciting attacking football. The whole thing behind this season was "100 points" - Stendel's style suits that ambition, Parkinson does not.
It absolutely feels to me like he's picked the cheapest option that'll be a yes man.
I've been a fan of SD for a while, but I must admit he's losing me recently. There have been too many decisions taken that don't seem to be in the interest of the club, but rather to help his mates or his own pocket.

On the bright side I could've been right to pass on info about Parkinson being at the club over the last few days ...

... and may well turn out right about the American interest continuing :emoticon-0103-cool:

All I can say is that he (SD) has done well to remove himself from Twitter as he'd be in for s**t loads of abuse. Why not Stendel???? Was this because he was probably a few quid dearer, where as Parkinson probably resorted to saying 'yes sir, no sir, three bags full sir'. I thought that this man (SD) had aspirations for this club!!!!

You think we can’t get worse, you think we can’t drop any lower, then we make an appointment like this and it makes you wonder

Ive no doubt Stendel would have asked for guarantees in the transfer market after what happened at Barnsley.

Obviously we couldn’t offer him any as we have no ****ing money.

If the Parkinson rumour proves correct, my opinion of SD will diminish massively....

Come on lads, let's be positive.

We are pertectly equipped to play long balls up to our forwards, with their ariel ability and the pace throughout the team to win the second balls we will be fine

**** the new manager and **** SD, this appointment absolutely stinks.
Cheap, unimaginative, uninspiring. we’re not going anywhere fast, resigned to being a team simply making the numbers up in league 1, **** off

It’s probably this but we all still need get behind him to have any chance of getting out of this league.

We’re a league one team and we need to scrap our way out...he might manage that.

    Truly bizarre appointment
They talked after the playoffs about needing a more attractive style of play
The main reason the fans turned on Ross was his negative football

So they appoint probably the most negative manager they could find
He has lots of experience of this league but his record is pretty ****e

However the lad is going to be under massive pressure so regardless we need to get behind him

The more his tenure goes on, the more I'm inclined to believe SD is a absolute chancer...

    The lows get lower.

I'll give Parky a chance but its ****ing depressing
