Tricky this stuff isn't it ... ... as Daniel Stendel bids to avoid recording the worst start to a tenure of any manager in Hearts’ 145-year history on Sunday, it is already difficult to avoid the sense that his appointment is shaping up as a monumental blunder by the beleaguered Gorgie club. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.sc...any-hearts-manager-in-145-years-1-5067585/amp
We gave him a 2 and a half year contract which he's 2 months into. Donald probably can't afford to pay him off.
I know it does not make sense! Perhaps Parkinson will do the honourable thing and walk after todays game?
What, before he's had chance to get some players in that he actually wants and while he still believes that he can turn things round? Just because you've written him off doesn't mean that he thinks the job's beyond him. Let's get behind the team and hope that we fly up the league - unless you'd rather be right than us be successful.
Seriously, if you were a manager with 1 iota of ability and ambition would you join safc while Donald is at the helm? He is despised, duplicitous, dodgy and clearly incompetent. A new manager isnt going to last 5 minutes while the cheating chancer is in charge.
Now that the fans are turning on him it's going to make it even harder to turn around. I hope he does because if he's sacked i dont think that is going to help in finding a new manager.
Well I do hope that you are right, not me... but time will tell.. atm I reckon that there is not much to get behind. I go to a game and I am more depressed and pizzed off coming out than going in..
Alnwick. A position the least of safcs problems but it looks like Parkinson wants him. no,no, that we can’t score a goal, let’s bring another keeper in. I should be staggered but to be honest, this is exactly why this bloody misery manager needs the boot. next he will send McNulty back to reading, loan grigg to Blackpool and bring in two ex Bolton defenders
We're ****e, but that's not PP's fault. We still have a decent squad by L1 standards and need to hold our nerve for a bit. Stick with him for at least this season IMHO...
Thing is, his tactics and substitutions are making safc worse. we are 10 points clear of relegation. The next four games on form are four defeats. waiting till May could end with league 2. It really is not an option Doncaster away Fleetwood away Lincoln home Wycombe home can you honestly see wins there?
I think the game today and maybe the following against Fleetwood will determine his future. Lose both and his role is untenable as we will be in a relegation fight..................again
Conversely away from home, with the burden of expectation lifted, and set up to counter attack might be to our advantage any port in a storm atm. I sincerely hope this Ben Alnwick story is a hoax, we have too good keepers we don't need another, we have enough problems elsewhere imo.
I can understand giving him the window and see if things improve but if we find ourselves in or near the relegation zone after say the next ten games would you still give him till the end ?
