That's a lovely picture of a pie in your avatar, Gelders, which is very appropriate for this thread :emoticon-0136-giggl

Yep . . . . it's lunch time, and I really fancy a pie now instead of these sarnies :azn:

Never thought ! Aye, perhaps a bit insensitive ! But remember, you can still have an occasional pie and enjoy it - just remember to adjust its fat and calories FROM your daily allowance , don't add them to it.

My sarnies were lovely, Vince, and they seem like a much better option than yours . . . . mind I'm not, and never have been, on a diet :cheesy:
Lucky you I’ve been fighting it all my life
However when younger and fitter I was ok
But still had to be sensible
Now I’m older and less mobile I have to watch the beer and fats
I eat plenty fruit and veg keep of the pies and beers
Never the less I still have the occasional drinks and of course when on holiday it becomes realy more difficult
But I’m happy to say
18/06/2019. 17st 3 lb
Today 16st8lb
It’s an on going battle to adjust my life stile but I’m trying hard

bed sports mate works every time, unless you just lay on your back, you can shed loads if your enthusiastic about it.

O
Such a simple yet useful thing mate. Walking and swimming both great.

Doesn’t matter what you eat, short of starvation, if you don’t exercise you’ll not get much off.
Our lass got a Pomeranian and now does 6 miles a day with her she’s getting fitter every day <ok>

Swimming's a good exercise like Nads says, very good for your heart and whole body in general and the water takes a lot of the strain off your body if you've got arthritis. You can go at your own pace and it's very gentle on your joints.

My dad was piling it on after he retired mate, he got a dog, he’s never in the house always out with the pooch, weights flown off and he looks 10 year younger, and he’s happier all round.

Really true that they are mans best friend, in many ways.

I couldn't imagine life without a dog. They're the best mates you'll ever have.

I struggle to put weight on and it's probably because I walk at least 10 miles every day with the dog. I've always been on the thin side and I'm not ashamed to say I even bashed steroids and the gym heavily at one point because it was getting me down. Folk think weight issues only go one way. They don't.

As I get older I'm starting to find myself a lot less self conscious and giving a **** like.

I'm without a dog currently after mine passed away before Christmas and it's pretty rough. I want to get another but the timing isn't great just now unfortunately.

I know what you mean about the weight issue, I've been lifting weights for about fifteen years and I never believe it when people tell me how big I am because I don't really see it. Body dysmorphia my wife calls it.

I'm sorry to read that, mate. They're more than just a dog or just a pet. We end up loving them like a child, don't we. They become a part of the family.

I know a few lads who are a canny size but they always see somebody else's body looking back at them in the mirror. It seems the more they train and bigger they get it, it's never going to be enough for them.

How’s the diets today im16st 8lb
19st June 2018
It’s very difficult for me to keep this weight off or infact loose much more
Since the start of the diet I’ve had 7 holidays each time I come back I’ve put weight on I continue to walk 4/5 miles 3/4 times a week and eat responsibly
I also still drink
So maybe I’m going to stay at 16st 7lb ish now if I continue the way I’m going
However it’s not easy and any lapses I put on weight
I hope you lot are doing a little better
