Never dieted in my life - like my food too much. I basically control everything through my exercise. Regularly out running or swimming and go to the gym a few times a month too. Find that I don't put weight on by doing that (now) - I was 15 stone at one point and now I'm just over 11 - literally never changed my diet, just my exercise

I'm type one diabetic too so "not eating" is really difficult and avoiding carb is impossible!!

That reminds me of this 60s diet that I saw somewhere. It's fine to have wine for breakfast as long as you mix it with fruit juice. I wasn't around then but from watching Mad Men I'm under the impression that everyone was bladdered 24/7.

Cheers mate, but that weight loss looks like it'll come at the end when your egg-bound intestines finally unblock! :) BTW I didn't spot much bacon...?

Is everyone still sticking to their diets.
    I’ve
just returned from holiday on 31/3/2019 17st2lb
I’ve tried and cut down drastically all week plenty of walks infact on holiday
Walked at least 5 miles per day according to my pedometer
I’m now 16 st 10 lb after been 16st9lb yesterday
I’m out for drinks today so expect to put weight on over the week end
Then it all starts again next week
Cottage cheese and crackers for lunch and a healthy meal for dinner
Although I suppose I’m getting used to the diet a little I find it very very difficult
And can’t see me loosing much more 90CAAD33-BFA5-4C68-881D-AB6F85367C1A.jpeg

Well done Sid - a great effort . You don’ need me to say it - but I will anyway - make sure you never let any slip back on . I know that the self disappointment for throwing away the hard work and new feeling goes even deeper than the satisfaction did for the achievement.

It’s very difficult to make a lifestyle change and when you get older with medical problems it’s hard to do exercise
However a little exercise is better than none
Try to eat the right foods is also difficult but the effort must be put in to stop getting far too obese
Cut down on beer and try and enjoy other forms of alcohol again this is difficult if you are a socialiser and enjoy your circle of friends
Never the less just try our best and enjoy life the best we can

You're right, age and medical conditions will make it harder, but as you say , you must make the effort to be the best that you can be (you don't have to be in competition with anyone else or aspire to be anything)- be your own best and don't give up
