Sadly, very sadly, I think this is true. Still love the little bugger though.

Yeah, I don't necessarily get upset over such things, because people are people; we sometimes expect footballers to be automatons, and it's not really fair. It's hardly a huge indictment for a person to start to feel out of place and want to go home after a couple of less-than-satisfactory years.

Heard a rumour (unsubstantiated) that he’d put his house up for sale before Christmas and was looking for a move to QPR. From a mate who knows someone who “knows” Charlie ..... so who knows?

He did indeed sell his house and move, and yes he wanted out whilst under MP2...he has since had a change of heart......thinks a lot of Ralph.

True story; Charlie is one of our top earners, the hairdresser's he goes to charges £19 a cut, he pays cash and ALWAYS waits for his £1 change.
They do say strikers need to be selfish, but really...?

He is a normal bloke that has become rich within the past decade. He has probably always done it, so probably always will.

Yep I think although he is a millionaire, he is still grounded. Good on him.

Unlike some footballers who know the price of everything and the value of nothing.

I read a story a while ago that when Paul Ince was in his prime his wife still went out and did the food shopping and used coupons when she could. I don't see it as them being tight, I see it as someone who used to be like the rest of us and aren't affected by money.

Justt my take.

£19 pounds.........bloody hell.........and I complain at my £8.50??..........Some people must be made of money!!
