Rumour in the Daily Star that we want him on loan.

I read this morning that he hadn’t turned up for training with Villa to force a move to Wolves.
One version might be close to the truth.
Being linked to Switzerland international centre-back Kevin Mbabu by the Swiss press: https://sport.ch/superleague/253358...t-auf-gleich-sechs-vereine-bekunden-interesse
Being linked to Lille midfielder Thiago Mendes by the French press: https://www.tf1.fr/tf1/telefoot/new...-janvier-accord-rabiot-barcelone-6821054.html
Right you are. Wishful thinking on my part!I thought Mbabu was a RB? I remember watching Young Boys in a Europa League game against an English side and they were raving about him, I'm sure he was playing RB and was absoloutely rapid.
Thiago Mendes is too good for us, will go somewhere else if he moves.

I'd certainly love to get him on loan. Unfortunately we probably couldn't afford to buy him as I think Everton rejected a bid from Leipzig of around £25M last summer. Way out of our financial realm, unless we are will to break our ceiling.Very unlikely we would get lookman, but think it would be a fantastic signing. Ralph knows him and he is fast & direct, which is exactly what we need.
He may play CB as well, certainly seems quick enough for a CB
Kevin Mbabu has been measured as being the second fastest football player in the world with 36,1 km/h in an official game just behind Gareth Bale.
Newcastle got rid of him as he was ****. Since then has become class![]()
We spent about £35m on Carrillo and Elynoussi - it isnt that he is out of our financial realm. It is that we waste money on loads of ****e or average players instead of getting fewer top quality players. Could have bought Felipe Anderson with that money, and paid his wages.I'd certainly love to get him on loan. Oh absolutely. Using Anderson as an example, that looks like great business. However, over the past 7 years west hams dealings have been hilariously awful. And as happens at literally every club - you simply can’t get it right every time.
It is acknowledged we ****ed up for a couple of years and hopefully we are coming back on the upside.
I’d imagine a little complacency and letting Mitchell go are two of the main reasons for this.

We had a spell of getting it right pretty much every time, however this wasnt to last forever and we made some big mistakes recently. Lets hope we are starting to turn a corner.
