When I said "And yes, perfectly happy living within the largest democratic free market in history", I was making the point that I really don't care if we can't leave without the EU without their permission, I'm perfectly happy with status quo. Remainers aren't the ones that have an issue with that... EDIT - I also don't particularly feel the need to defend the deal we can all agree is bad. It's leaving at all I think is stupid and staying in that I'm happy to defend. So I've answered your question. Have a go at mine...come on...
I don't think that gives even consideration to the political reality or the sensitive political history of Ireland. Random checks, wherever they happen, divide Ireland, and history shows why this is extremely troubling...
I just don't see the Irish are going back to killing each other just because there are random checks to stop smuggling, particularly if checks are away from the border
I have said that I'm confident a solution could be found if there was enough will to find one. As Goldie said, that's way above my pay grade. But then, unlike you, I don't think I have all the answers. We'll never agree. You're happy to be ruled by a foreign power and presumably be part of a united states of Europe. I will never be prepared to accept that. Now, as I said, I think I'll leave this for a bit and see what occurs. I have a very busy 10 days ahead.
They are unelected by the general public and recent news should tell you it's jobs for mates. The EU is a flawed organisation that will try everything they can to stop countries leaving....been done before. Funnily only tonight one of the bigwigs at the EU was interviewed about Brexit and he said he was shocked that there was an article in the Lisbon treaty allowing states to leave! That is the crap undemocratic organisation that you want to belong to? Cameron in 2016 went there to ask for help regarding immigration in the UK...remember they laughed him out of town, like they did May. The UK has tried to implement 17 changes to their unfair rules and none were accepted. They will never change unless it's for Germany or France (which they have done on many occassions). We have never really been part of Europe and will never be. Time to move on and let them get on with their union. May will be gone soon and I hope a real hard Brexiter comes in and tells the EU where to go. AS for politicising the Irish border, that should tell you all you need to know about the EU. Never was it really a problem until they found an excuse to cause a problem. Suddenly there are so many EU supporters out there...Like all those muppets making a racket outside the commons when the cameras are on them. They are like Manure and Chelsea fans following another club rather than supporting their own home team. And like those Chelsea and Maure fans.... they really know nothing about the club or its history. The EU can all laugh at us now but when it comes done to a no deal, they won't be laughing then. it may hurt us for a bit but like our resilient Pound we will bounce back. The Euro is in big trouble and they won't bounce back like us. They may have 27 countries but 23 of them are crap.
I said in another post Goldie that they are just politicising the Irish border. Was never going to be a problem until the Mafia need an excuse to derail the process.
It's not the Eu's problem, it was our problem to solve, we haven't and nobody anywhere has come up with a solution. This really was the easiest negotiation ever hey Mr Fox. Doh
Boomerang boy has returned...Have you been waiting by your screen all night awaiting my post? ah bless.. The fake remoaner returns...."Honestly mate I didn't understand mate. Mate I didn't vote mate. Mate it means nothing to me mate but I don't want Brexit...Mate".
It's not the EU 's problem? .... I'm going to watch the news I cant continue to discuss with a line like that. I give up
