I was only being silly bob.
It's not actually a problem. We are leaving an organisation and it's up to both parties to work together to come to a good resolution. Agree, we left but as an integral part of the EU they needed to assist. People are getting too personal about leaving or staying.
Sadly they have not shown themselves in a good light and we have not exactly sorted anything concrete.

Checks are going on in Ireland as we speak. Goods are arriving in ports and checked by officials.
The whole thing has been brought up to stop the process. Funnily plenty of Irish politicians have said the same this week.
Are there borders into Switzaland? Apparently you can cross the border without any hassle? I also heard tonight of non EU states inside a larger EU country that doesn't have borders. Apparently there are also many cameras in Ireland that have plate recognition...As I said I don't see the problem

I’ve sat back for the last four months and read a lot of dribble by several posters on here regarding Brexit. Others have posted some excellent posts. I agree with you Bob. In my opinion it was Britain’s responsibility to solve this problem.
My last post 4 months ago was that I thought the UK was making a mess of this. I stand by my comment. Your PM was never going to be able to deliver the Brexit that was voted on. Never. You can’t have the best of both worlds.

The two positions of no border in Northern Ireland and Britain being able to negotiate free trade agreements are incompatible. Why can’t people understand that.

Because they don’t want to, Nutso. It’s complicated and doesn’t fit in with their simplistic, ideological view of the world and the UKs place in it. The people who bang on loudest about the ‘precious union’ care least about the real people who actually live in various bits of it. Johnson and Rees Mogg have made it pretty clear that they couldn’t care less about having a hard border in Ireland, which is the inevitable consequence of the no deal/hard Brexit they want. They think droning on about sunlit uplands and endless opportunities, ‘freedom’ ‘sovereignty’ and ‘taking back control’ with no specifics is enough, because everyone else is ‘undemocratic’.
The involvement and influence of the DUP in all of this is a disgrace. And, dare I say it, undemocratic.
After watching that ROI v NI 0-0 dribble, I’m starting to think that maybe there should be a hard border after all

The Republic of Ireland is the fifth biggest customer for UK exports. The UK is the second biggest customer for Irish exports. You would have thought the Irish PM would have done a bit more to solve the problem.
Maybe the border thing will not be an issue in a no deal.
