I am incensed and if this is RBR at it best, I hope it ruins their brand and AM and TAG Heuer complain about Max. He is a case.

Never been a fan of the team.... I think Horner's smugness does it for me. That and Helmut, who is also about as pleasant as an abscessed tooth. Now they have Jos and Max just making it a quartet of delightful personalities.

some people make the mistakes not because of inexperience bit from pure superhero syndrome.
the video is not utterly clear and I am not clear if verstappen was lapping slower tjan ocon and could see ocon gaining or what but it's clear ocon tried a move on the race leader from 14th.... no points at stake.
he got shut down and kept.going and put his car more in where he was behind in corner.
in other words max has no need to interact with ocon at all and could have let him.on safely but max being max wasn't going to and actually did have the corner.
ocon has a long history of crashing force India's stupidly too.
imo it's a case of two little idiots but one was leading a race and one had no business interfereing with the race leader.
should have punched him. then ocon might have carried off the shocked look on his face.
max being max he won't learn a thing.
it did take hamilton a long time to reach his level of maturity.
Not sure if anybody has mentioned it, but blimey, the Merc strategists got away with one today. What on earth were they thinking, bringing Hamiltion in on Lap 19 while he was pulling out about 1/10th per lap? They really are atrocious. It's like they pre-plan when their stops will be, and just stick to it regardless. Had Ocon and Max not been acting like a pair of muppets, there's no way they'd have won that.

Where was Ocon to go? I think Max closed the door without checking where Ocon was. Was it necessary to overtake there though? Max was racing Hamilton, not Ocon. But bullying Ocon after the race is nonsense, had it been another driver he might have flatened Max...he will learn he isnt the badest man around, and everyone doesnt have to disappear when he come up on them.
Yet again Lewis wins a race against the odds whilst the favourites lose their heads. Max is an abomination and deserves all he gets. Seb just seems lost. An interesting race though with plenty of contention. I'm beginning to intensely dislike Max.
But Hamilton never went around trying to bully and fight people after losing a race...Max is a new breed of idiot. He will challenge the wrong person soon and will get what he deserves. He threatens to head butt reporters, he threatens to beat people because he lost poll and now he roughs up Ocon because he believes Ocon is a softie...maybe he should try that with Perez or one of the hotbloods.
And Hamilton was telling them he had a few more laps in those tyres and they said no no ...really!!!

They seem completely unable to think on their feet. That's going to be a big problem for Merc as they have to actually compete with the other teams rather than just run away from them.

I wouldnt have given Ocon any penalty, Max fully well knew Ocon was there but the big bad wolf expected to scare away Ocon off the track...who was Max racing again? ..certainly not Ocon. Hamilton could have squeezed Max when Max went for the lead too .but you have to use commonsense sometimes. Max could have avoided that clash.

I'm really confused, at that stage of the race Max was on fairly fresh tyres and was pulling away from Hamilton... How did Ocon have the pace to even get involved? And if anybody erroneously thinks Ocon should not be unlapping himself or trying to, what is his plan if he is quicker than Max, just coast behind him?

He gets my vote for DotD.
Wouldnt you say Max contributed to the crash? Why was he fighting Ocon for the corner anyway? To be a champion you have to know how to pick your fights and know who you are fighting for the win. Max wasnt in a fight with Ocon, except he saw red when he saw the little boy who was beating him in junior days.
Max has no common sense . If he has not calmed down by now , I wonder if he ever will .
A little bit, but he was taking his line expecting the lapped car to stay out of the way and not contest the corner, which is what it should have done. I don't really see what Ocon was trying to achieve by unlapping himself. If he had a car that was roughly on pace and was a lap down due circumstances other thana slower car, maybe, but he was just going to get another blue flag and the next corner.
Glad he did it though cos I think Max is a twat

The pair have been summoned to the stewards regarding the incident. Verstappen defended his behaviour and said he is not interested in the views of his critics.
“I don’t care what those people say,” said Verstappen. “I’m a winner. You get taken out like that, to get a stupid response from his side as well, I was not happy about that.”
“We are all passionate about the sport,” he added. “It would be odd if I would shake his hand.”
So every time.there is an accident you go out there and box around the ither driver...because you are a winner...thats what his dad did some time recently and got charged. Could you imagine that now he has his license to drive on the road how msny time.he will be hauled before the courts for road rage?
