So **** hits the fan in Azerbaijan, Ricciardo wins, Force India implode, Alonso drives home with Mclarens first point, Stroll lands a podium... Lance Stroll... podium... I know. Force India wipe each other out, and Kimi is hit by Valtteri again. But the headline of the day was the impossible events at the sharp end of the grid between Hamilton and Vettel, if you have been living under a rock then I insist you look at all the major motorsports websites to find out why... We return to Austria, everything old-school. We will see lap times shattered. And the start of one of the most fierce rivalries of our lifetime. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image TV TIMES (BST): FP1 7/7/17 - 9am FP2 7/7/17 - 1pm SP3 8/7/17 - 10am Q 8/7/17 - 1pm R 9/7/17 - 1pm TYRES ALLOCATED: Ultra-Soft Super-Soft Soft 2017 Predictions Championship x4 El_Bando Dell Boy x3 eddie_squidd happyal Smithers BigErn x2 moreinjuredthanowen BrightLampShade tomcat606 Julius Caesar ErnieBecclestone fevriul St. Slicks of Stoneham SgtBhaji x1 tomcat606 DHCanary dhel McFerrari ched999uk discostu333 Correct as of Baku. A year on and it still looks like he has plenty of track to his left. Other news, Renault lied about their power upgrade, there won't be one, this season or next apparently damn my cowardice.
Looking at the pictures in OP. The bad guy has benefited each time. They are also all German so do they all know something we don't. Unlike Fins who seem to only hit each other on track.
Interestingly, if Vettel gets 3 penalty points this weekend, he gets a one race suspension for Silverstone. I wonder if there's any way Mercedes could "encourage" that.
Or you lot could just look forward to a great race and hopefully some wheel to wheel bumping form vettel and hamilton and leave the kids games for the 5 year olds where they belong. would you SERIOUSLY want the next two races ruined as a spectacle when things are just getting interesting to favour hamilton that much? seriously?
I'm sure nobody wants a ruined spectacle. That's why children should not be playing games with adults. Vettel clearly needs a lesson in anger management. His championship contending position in the points should not be relevant, any more than some prima-donna footballer should be allowed to take matters into his own hands because he feels personally aggrieved and then not punished because his team is a contender in a cup final. The only way to avoid all need for any kind of discipline is to get rid of rules altogether. No rules. No punishment. No boundaries or even guidelines on what is acceptable conduct. No need for stewards. No need for further enquiry into incidents, injuries or deaths. And no need for a governing body. Would you SERIOUSLY want a sport without rules, where every contender may have a different opinion on personal conduct? It might be fun for some but it wouldn't last long. And anarchy always quickly devolves into a power-struggle to fill the vacuum. It's not a case of "favouring Hamilton". It's difficult to see how suggesting it is either constructive or objective - and in fact, it gives the impression of taking sides against him even when in this event he has been proven to have driven and behaved entirely within the rules and a fellow competitor has not. Lest anyone misunderstand, I'm not taking sides either! If it appears that way to some, I would suggest it is a result of their own partisanship. No insult intended to anyone. I really mean it. - - -o0o- - - P.S. to EMSC: I think you may have omitted the relevant dates for this event.
yeah next time push him off the track. IMO there should be a lot wider leeway in it and a lot more consistency by actually hiring a team of stewards to go to every race so we have that consistency race in race out. bump wheels? fine no bother. smash a guy i t he side with no intent to race ok gonna do you... just a bit of manly racing thats all. and so forth and so on... I know you have to take it to extremes to show the point but nowhere did i say lawless... just lets them at it and if a bit of paint or trim or side walls get scuffed up so much the better ... re hamilton: I am merely making the point that while vettel rightly deserves a reality check Hamilton is not a new born lamb in it either... and he can act that way when it suits which is not needed Hamilton got back into it by qualifying well last two races and car seems relatively improved and ready to contest so i don't want to see whiny tactics off the track affecting the contest. every point counts now and whoever wins a free 25 points could tip it and ruin the end of the season. Thats all I want. I really don't give a fiddlers about a ferrari or a mcclaren or a merc.. I don't care about a british driver or a german driver I just really want a good contest. Thats why i was quite annoyed last year when FINALLY after 2 years of hamilton schooling rosberg left and right the guy finally manned up and made it a fight and next thing out came the same PC inconsistent ****e off the track but fortunately it didn't spoil the ending as it really could have gone either way right til near the end. I thought hamilton had it in the run in and then unreliable engine stole it away which was a slight let down in the end This year i want the top two bashing rims all the way and bottas sticking and oar or two in. Kimi... well i can't see it consistently and ferrari won't let him which is a shame... he's just not the quali pace. It'd be even nicer if this red bull mini revival was sustainable.
I think Redbull turned a page in Baku, mentioned it before. We are heading to the Redbull Ring coincidentally...
Williams have done well here in recent years as well so could get into the mix as well should the others slip up slightly. The front of the field is certainly tightening up.
Wish this and Baku were on back-to-back weekends. Everybody is getting far too much time to cool off.
Indeed. I hope vengeance is swift and terrible this weekend. first corner action.. I have a hankering for some controversy on a first lap. I don't think we've had enough of that lately.
