I think it was actually 99.6% of people watching TV in Iceland were watching the match. Not 99.6% of the whole population.
Knowing the Icelandic they will have been well into their favourite drink locally known as black death, so most of them would have been comatosed by the start of the game. So technically are they actually watch TV if they are in that state?
