Sounds like bull said by the club to make it sound like we tried and then the fans will hopefully (in the club’s eyes) blame the player rather than them when he leaves.
if he signs they'd just sell him anyway and try and get some of the £10 million back - there' no way they'e going to pay him big money and keep him - why would they make so much effort to get all the other big wage earners out of the door

Just saw a photo of him grinning from ear to ear with Mcgregor on Twitter, the same Mcgregor that was in Hull having beers during the last match instead of being where he should have been, on the pitch. I still honestly don't know where Abel was the last few games, no goodbye for him either. Adkins is a fraud but just like there were apologists for the Allams at the start there are apologists for him. Lets see how he gets on next season with no players and no miracle loan signings like Wilson

I might be dense but please tell me why you think Adkins is a decent manager and not somebody that we are unfortunately lumbered with like we are with the owners. The flukey Wilson loan signing doesn't count. I think he signed that lad from Barnsley too and he hasn't really set the world on fire. Not only did he sign him but he threw him under the bus too I seem to remember, after playing him when he knew he was ill. Not really top level manager stuff that.

Without the fluke and Abels return we would have gone down. We stayed up despite Adkins not because of him. It's just my opinion I'm not going to knock what you are saying.
