I can't call it a fluke and neither can anyone else. Maybe he was a back up, he came here the end. Despite Adkins?? Please elaborate.
The fact Adkins kept us up proves he's an decent manager at this level because having watched the majority of games we are sack of ****. Defensively league 2 standard headed by the **** Dawson.
Olympiakos have joined the race to Hull City striker Abel Hernandez, according to the Greek news outlet Sportdog.gr.
I see they finished 3rd in the league this season, so I would guess they would not have a champions league place.
I have mentioned previously that Abel may well ply his trade next season at Leeds, whilst many have lambasted my earlier post I am closer to the source than those quick to ridicule think
If I can get a betting market on this, what chances do you honestly think it has of happening? I ask this because TWS will be long odds and I’ll be willing to back you.
Nevermind the bollocks mate as someone once said. Unless thats a direct reference to Nigel of course. It's all about opinions, I won't slate anybody for theirs, call me dense or whatever. Adkins did a good job at Southampton and Scunny but he shot his bolt a long while ago. Not worried really as if he gets the funds from a new owner he will get the job done, and if he doesnt he won't be here. In answer to Chazz, we stayed up because Abel came back at the right time and because of Wilson, I'm repeating myself. As Lambretta said we got Wilson at the last minute in lieu of another signing and there was no gurantee we would be getting such a brilliant player when the clubs track record of loanees this season was Aina, Hector, and Tomori. 1 out of 4 came right. I reckon Slutsky would have kept us up if Abel was available all season and he wasn't working with crumbs.
He was at the Cardiff match and did the walk of shame oops "fan appreciation" tour of the pitch. I think Adkins follows the Steve Bruce book of diplomacy when talking about the owners in public. He has a difficult job to do navigating the line between keeping the lunatic bosses happy and fans on board. I'm willing to let it slide for the moment. I can't say I'm overly enthusiastic about him, but he's not bad and I think he's the best manager we're going to get under the current circumstances.
If he had financial backing I'm sure he could do OK , I just don't like the man at all. Thanks for the update on Hernandez, unfortunately like many others I had done one by that time. No shots on target all match and Abels actually at the stadium too. I can't see Abel having a bad attitude despite Chazz hinting that, not with a pending World Cup coming when he needs to be playing. I'm also quite interested in Adkins attitude towards Odubajo at the moment too, not in a good way.
