You see in the short period Diomande was on the pitch he did some decent stuff. Yet ****s still moan about him.

I agree, I thought he look OK when he came on. If we are away from home against better sides I would have him on the left instead of Grosicki, at least he tracks back and supports the full back.

In fairness both Grosicki and Bowen exposed their full backs yesterday, because they were playing too narrow - just compare the amount of times Burton easily found their full backs in space. Difference is Bowen does actually tackle and compete for headers, Grosicki doesn't. Will either score more than the other - not sure but on evidence so far I think Bowen has the better finish (and that's not including Grosicki's missed open goal yesterday!).

It's not that they are too narrow, the just don't track back (maybe that is how they have been told to play ).

Look back at yesterday goal we conceded, the pair of them where on the half way line with Campbell and Henandez as if we were playing a 4-2-4.

Both leave the full backs exposed, and decent teams will fully exploit that. Seeing them further up is exciting to watch, and definitely gives more attacking threat, my concern is with inexperienced full backs we will be punished.

I posted a page or two back that Boga was apparently starting for Chelsea and was laughed at. Meh.

If you mean me, i didn't for one second laugh at the claim that Boga was starting, I laughed at the pompous self-important 'this is what I've heard' as if Conte himself had been on the blower, rather than your mate had read it on the internet and then told you.

Suggesting a player is starting but that I'm not positive, and expanding on it by saying it's just something I've heard, is hardly me saying Conte has shot me a text himself. As someone who is such a stickler for precisely what people say, I'd ask you to point out where I suggested anything other than "someone told me this that I thought I would share".

I was sat in the south stand and had a good view of this. Aina struggled in the first half but I think that was largely due to Bower leaving him massively exposed.

Bowen kept drifting inside and up front. Probably because of his inexperience, he was so desperate to effect the game with either a run, goal or assist that he left Aina exposed.

Grosicki tracked back and kept the distance between himself and Clark tighter.

I think that's why Grosicki and Bowen swapped position at one point.

We played against 10 men and a poor side yesterday. It was acceptable to play an attacking shape. Wide men can't attack AND defend all the time, it simply isn't possible.

Using "Just what I've heard" when you could've said "my mate's a Chelsea fan and he read it on the internet".

Well, I hope he stays. Despite Burnley's freak result, I still expect them to be bottom 3 come the end of the season.

Slutsky might just be able to make a fist of this side. Needs more support with signings though.

So do I and I agree about Burnley, but I still think it likely he'll now go.
