Really? I saw the ball bounce off him from his first touch on a few occasions , his movement was straight and obvious (not bending his run, staggering his approach ), and constantly seemed off balance when shaping to strike.

You can put some of it down to been rusty from injury, but I have seen little from him in all his time with us to say he is a decent player

He also made some excellent tackles and made some really good passes.

Will give you the tackles, was good to see him keeping up the pressure. But given that Burton where a man down, been ran ragged, and pretty much beaten, he had time and space to pick his passes.

I really hope he comes good this season, this is his level, and he has the basics, but he lacks the hidden skills (finding space, angles, drawing players ect), and is too predictable

What are the test results for? Healing of the skull?

SO much of his recovery is going to come down to his confidence when playing.
It must be along the lines of the effect of a further head clash or similar B... or the effect of heading the football... if the experts turn around and tell him that he is essentially healed, then it does come down to confidence on his part..

You can't say that! Looking at the MOM choices from last week, Bowen was amazing! ! Forget that he never put in a cross, never really got on the ball and ran at Villa, and left his full back continually exposed.

I thought Grosicki did well, he was our only outlet initially, he picked up the ball and went at players while the rest of midfieldersand defence were panicking, always looked for the ball. Yes he ducked a few tackles, but he isn't renowned for his tackling
In fairness both Grosicki and Bowen exposed their full backs yesterday, because they were playing too narrow - just compare the amount of times Burton easily found their full backs in space. Difference is Bowen does actually tackle and compete for headers, Grosicki doesn't. Will either score more than the other - not sure but on evidence so far I think Bowen has the better finish (and that's not including Grosicki's missed open goal yesterday!).
