General view in Liverpool Land seems to be that Saints have reported Liverpool to appease fans. There's only one way to appease us....keep VVD for at least one more season.
While this may be true, their level of arrogance and self-entitlement today has been astronomically comical.General view in Liverpool Land seems to be that Saints have reported Liverpool to appease fans. There's only one way to appease us....keep VVD for at least one more season.
The assumption that we buy cheap and sell on at a profit as policy may need to be challenged according to this data. Indeed, we may have to change the word policy to necessity. I haven't had time to check it but whilst it points to terrific revenues generated, it paints a somewhat more bleak picture overall.

Great signing? Unlikely.Liverpool are sending scouts to St Mary's this evening. They have heard that someone called Williams is playing there tonight and they decided he might be a great signing for them.
Just seena Liverpool fan tweet
"People saying Southampton "snakes" in the best possible position. Like Southampton has ever been a position for Liverpool to be envious of"
I'm sure you were thinking that when Long raced away and thundered in the goal to send us to Wembley.
You are absolutely right sir! We are apparently the ones in the wrong for "grassing on them".Hold on, they're the ones tapping up VVD, but we're the snakes. Do I have that right? Just checking!
Because it is very very wrong for inferior clubs like ours to stand in the way of a player joining their club and doing exactly what he wants. Contracts are only important for proper clubs and we are just meanies.Hold on, they're the ones tapping up VVD, but we're the snakes. Do I have that right? Just checking!
It does bug me somewhat when I read posts on here after we sell or are selling a player that the money will end up in KLs pocket
Thanks Ryan. Bye Ryan. Don't let the door hit you Ryan. You must log in or register to see media
Bye
Anything less is an insult considering they are paying £40m for Walker (apparently). I'd want £30m for Bertrand. Well, what i really want is £10m plus Iheanacho but this is real life not football manager.Any idea the sort of fee for Ryan? I'd have thought north of £25m...
In fairness he will probably go on to achieve and earn a lot there. Think we couldve kept for another year again but he is replaceable.Shame. Bertrand has been a good player for us but we have been good for him too. He is now an England regular and a 1st team starter in a top 8 prem team. He has never been that before. Careful what you wish for Ryan the top 4 team might have you as a squad player in a years time.

The Ryan Bertrand of two seasons ago would be very hard to replace. I'm not sure how much we'll miss the Ryan Bertrand of last season, talented though he obviously is. He has looked for a while like he really couldn't be arsed.
