For Pelle it was the money. He was 31 and never really earned the big bucks. He's only have been back up anyway (at the start. Before everyone collapsed injured)
Just seena Liverpool fan tweet "People saying Southampton "snakes" in the best possible position. Like Southampton has ever been a position for Liverpool to be envious of" I'm sure you were thinking that when Long raced away and thundered in the goal to send us to Wembley.
I'm beginning to wonder if Saints buy players that we need or, after looking at the Liverpool line up, decide what they need and act accordingly. Then we polish them up a bit and sell at a vast profit. Is Uncle Les secretly a used car salesman at heart?
So what you're saying is, let's call it quits, we'll take VVD off you for £50m and leave you alone for a year or two? Might even be nice and let you have Sakho so don't have to worry about finding s replacement, £25m and he's yours.
I am assuming that if we told him to be patient and wait one year then he would do just that yes. What are his alternatives?
That's ok, Sturridge is only attached by post it note glue and we manage to get 3-4 games out of him a year. Staples and sellotape are sturdy in comparison!
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football...port-liverpool-premier-league-overvirgil-van/ Not sure if this has been posted. It's by Jeremy Wilson so straight from the club I would assume.
Considering I win 300 quid if VVD stays I'm taking this as confirmation we won't sell. Already spending my winnings!
It's not a bad system...let us find the player and take the risk, then buy after a couple of years experience in the EPL.
