seems to be creeping closer now, on one hand we have those telling us that 'the elite' want the world population reduced dramatically because there are simply too many people now...on the other hand we get told that the entire world population could fit in one USA state.
plus we see russia with absolutely no sign of wanting to stop having men killed, most from pretty much suicide missions, the middle east with it's non stop hatred of everyone around them, the wars around the world that no longer get any news coverage and you tend to think there are probably two ways to settle it, either get people/leaders to sit around a table until they decide enough is enough and actually agree on something or one major big feck up of a war and divide up what is left (if anything) until next time.

Today effectively gives Russia cover to take out any head of state, including Zelenskyy, on the basis that he thinks they have committed a crime against Russian law.

True but it makes it impossible for the USA to argue that they would be wrong to do so.
We did have an international rules base system until autocratic leaders decided that the rules do not apply to them. With out this rules based system we are headed to armed conflict if not between the most powerful nations, by those nations on other weaker nations. In short a return to colonial rule.
Britain outside the EU is not powerful enough to resist these autocratic states. We will be the colonised not the colonial power. This way not be seen through military force but by the use of excessive wealth and power of a small number of countries and corporations, to control our daily life whist enhancing the wealth of the supper rich. In short the end game of the neoliberal project.
Equally, the same can be said back to those states being targeted, by Trump, to take him out.
It's bad enough that we know how dangerous Trump, Putin, Zelenskyy, etc are ...
... but we know virtually nothing about how inept their deputies would be.
If Trump 'does an Epstein' the USA could descend into a civil war, only this time they'd be better armed.
I think it is unfair to put Zelenskyy in the same category as Trump and Putin, he is a victim of their policies.
