Starting to look quite worrying. Are Russia’s manoeuvres all about preventing Ukraine from joining NATO, or is Putin going to go into full megalomaniac mode?

Hmm I'm not sure what to think, it's worrying either side of the argument.

If I were to speculate, I do believe warfare would be more...how do we say technology based, so more cyber attacks, than actual boots on the ground action and/or nuclear missiles being used

If it does end up in a war, like you say, I hope it’s more tech based, rather than all out conflict.

Oh Vlad, what a twat.
He’s not a patch on Gurbanguly Malikguliyevich Berdimuhamedov though. The ultimate Dj’ing despot who falls off horses. He must support NUFC

putin likes to let people know that russia are still around and still a threat, i very much doubt any of the 'superpowers' would go for all out war now, too expensive and plenty of what were lesser nations capable of seeing a chance to move in, wars with the big boys is all business related now with all the chat about witholding this or that...there will be quite a bit of 'we will give you/allow you this if you do what we ask' type of thing and it will slowly move onto the next royal scandal or whatever so no one actually loses face or looks weak.

People who believe this will all blow over are like those who watched Chamberlain waving his paper and smiled.

It's real people, it can happen and you'll all be shocked.

My worry is the loss of face Putin will suffer if he pulls back the troops from the Ukraine border...He likes to come across as a hard man who won't be pushed around...lets see how it pans out, but I wouldn't bet against him getting his troops to cross the border. I also wouldn't bet against China invading Taiwan at the same time.

Well the Russians saw the talks as constructive, whilst the US saw them as 'Frank'.

Jesus we're going to go to war aren't we?
