Hugo Lloris has revealed that France are the latest side to have been spied on by drone in training during this tournament.
Rather than moaning aimlessly about it, they tried to take it out by kicking balls at it! <laugh>

A strange turn of events, but people will do anything to get an advantage or get a few decent pictures.
The Croatian team are refusing to do any interviews now, as the paparazzi from their country took photos of them swimming naked in the pool at their hotel.
Not sure what the other guests thought of it.

who were they swimming naked with? Each other? Now, i've been on a fair few stag dos in my time and i've never ended up swimming naked with a bunch of dudes. What sort of holiday camp are the Croatians running?

Just when I thought my opinion of Brazilian fans couldn't sink any further, several thousand of them buy tickets to last night's game to troll Lionel Messi.

Blatter's bank manager is probably laughing at the fact they increased the ticket revenue...

If Blatter keeps true to form, his bank will never see that money. It'll go straight in his pocket....

Is that a bullet hole in the window of the ITV studio ?? It certainly looks like one.

Surely no one has tried to shoot Adrian Chiles ??

They said the other night that protesters were throwing stones at the window

Yeah, a bunch of protestors appeared 10mins before the end of the Brazil game and started punting the studio with stones. Nothing to do with the Brazil protests, just aimed at Adrian Chiles and the rest of his crew. The protestors were all British ITV watchers.....allegedly

You mean the clumsy bastard missed!!...I want to watch the game, but I'm not turning over until one minute before kick off. Hopefully, I will have missed all of his adenoidal droning on!...

When it comes down to sendings off due to cheating. this is a game where (to use the words
of Ian Hislop) I hope they both lose.

That sending off sums up so much of what is wrong with modern professional football. I hate violence and am generally a pretty calm person but I can really sympathize with Pepe there. So his hand touched Muller's face. It happens when you play football. So it must be blood infuriating when an opponent drops to the floor with the specific intention to cheat you out of a free kick/penalty and have you maybe sent off.

All he did, really, is get right in Muller's face, unfortunately furious that Muller was cheating. It was never anything like a head butt. Why MUST that be a red card? The real cheating was on Muller's part.

Should add that I actually prefer Germany to Portugal.

Palacios was being a complete douche for most of the time that he was on the pitch. Both him and Pogba should have been red carded... but Palacios was the one in the wrong... stamping on Pogba in the first place. Yes, Pogba shouldn't have retaliated but Palacios was a complete bellend.

In fact most of the Honduras team were being to55ers. Not going to win many fans at this tournament playing like they did last night. It was like watching Stoke under Pulis on a particularly physical day. Just watch the replay of the Boniek challenge on Evra. Knobhead.

How I saw it as well. Pogba definitely deserved a red, despite the fact that he was severely provoked. I was disappointed with Honduras. I thought they'd play hard, but there's a difference between playing hard and playing dirty while trying to wind up the other team, which is what they did. Palacios was the worst offender, and richly deserved his sending off.

I give France credit, actually. Faced with a team they knew was going to try to knock them off their game, France went after them just as hard, but more cleanly (with the exception of Pogba). The result was Honduras frustrated and red-carded.

No doubt Mueller was infuriating, but what the hell was Pepe doing? Here, I'll lean over you and touch you with my head just hard enough to get sent off but not so hard as to cause you the slightest discomfort?

Total disaster for Portugal is good news for the US and Ghana.

Phil Neville World Cup commentary draws complaints

The BBC has received 445 complaints from viewers about Phil Neville's BBC One commentary on England's World Cup match against Italy.

Neville, a former Manchester United and Everton player, was criticised for his lack of emotion and "monotone" style.

In response, Neville told BBC Radio 5 live the TV role was "a lot harder than I thought it was going to be".

Despite the complaints, the BBC said the footballer would continue to play "a key role throughout the tournament".

A spokesperson added Neville - who is currently a coach for Manchester United and has received broadcast training - was "an important, well-respected member of our team".

Neville told sports presenter Mark Chapman he welcomed the feedback on his performance: "In terms of the content I got out, I thought [it] was quite good.

"But the feedback is that I need to show a bit more excitement, so I think you'll see that more on Thursday night in the highlights show.

"I will get better - it was my first live gig and I'm just glad I helped everyone get to sleep back home!

Commentators saying it's been the best WC ever so far.

Well...a good one anyway, at least minus the wretched officiating and related cheat-fest. Nearly 2X the goal has been a huge plus, and the stadiums, crowds and pitches have been fine despite the worries. Not bad at all.

I can't believe we haven't had one draw yet!
