Be a bit disappointed if we didnt address the cover at full back. Only one natural at rb and one at lb (who is one of our most injury prone players). We do have players that can fill in, but with the opportunity we find ourselves in for the rest of the season, I think we should look for a specialist to bring in competition / back up for injuries in at least one of those positions.

I agree with your point, however, between RLB and KS they reckon we'll be ok with O'Nien covering both positions by the look of it - at the time of me writing this - but who's to say they don't get someone just in case. But on the other side of the coin, could we get anyone in to sit on the bench and pay his wages just in case?

I think it's doable to not get a fullback, but it'd ease me if we did look for another Trai Hume type, someone not too expensive who they see as a good deputy and a long term asset...

If we done the Akpom deal, I'd hope recruitment would turn their focus to this type of signing just incase we didn't go up and had to lose 4 or 5 starters.

Honestly I think I’d rather go the other way and just try to sign a 30 odd year old who can cover both sides and is happy to sit on the bench for now. Just having a natural full back who can come in for a few games if one of them picks up a knock would be ideal. Think Huggins and Seelt are more long term options but I’m starting to lose faith in Huggins his injuries aren’t normal. He is essentially exactly what we’re looking for, great prospect can play both sides and give us the cover we need if either miss a few games.

Id agree with this mate. This would be a good area for a Mundle type signing like last January

I think the club would probably be comfortable with what you are saying here but I think Onien at left back would take out the balance of the team and we'd lose some threat down the left side. I think Onien would be better at right back but still think Hume is more of a dynamic player down that side. I think either a younger player in the same mould of us when we signed Hume or Mundle could be the way to go.
