I don't think I'd ever be confident of any route to promotion that isn't a runaway automatics season. However, I think that nobody could credibly argue that the club hasn't made every realistic effort to achieve promotion this season. And that REALLY should change the narrative that many have about the current regime. Whatever would happen from this point, there should be belief and trust in the competence, ambition and intentions of the KLD era.
That source is absolutely not a reliable one btw, it’s some Nigerian journalist who reports on Nigerian players
Absolutely mate. I never thought I’d say those words but I honestly think the only team in the league I’m worried about is Leeds… or going to penalties I’m just glad we’re utilising loans to really strengthen our position now and bring in some real quality. Feels like we’re shopping in a different market this season
It'll be a wounder if we lose our big players in the summer. I'd still be confident of being a good team though, with Speakman et al adding four or five £5m players to our squad. I'd expect us to keep improving our shopping market as we go
You're probably right but wasn't there a Ghanian account like that back in the day when we were signing Gyan and Mensah? Seemed unreliable on the face of it but used get bits of info, so it's not totally beyond the realms of possibility that they have heard something.
If we were to bring in Enzo and Akpom in this window. I'd be happy with that. Shift a few out as well. Think we'd get another in.
Be a bit disappointed if we didnt address the cover at full back. Only one natural at rb and one at lb (who is one of our most injury prone players). We do have players that can fill in, but with the opportunity we find ourselves in for the rest of the season, I think we should look for a specialist to bring in competition / back up for injuries in at least one of those positions.
So let me get this straight we’ve gone from he doesn’t want to Come, to us being in talks in the space of a few hours and we’re not sure if the journo is reliable
I think it's doable to not get a fullback, but it'd ease me if we did look for another Trai Hume type, someone not too expensive who they see as a good deputy and a long term asset... If we done the Akpom deal, I'd hope recruitment would turn their focus to this type of signing just incase we didn't go up and had to lose 4 or 5 starters.
Two big journos have reported the interest most recent being advanced talks. Was a dutch newspaper saying the no interest. This bloke who has said we are in advanced talks has been reporting on Ajax a lot this window and has got a story right already
