I'm not convinced the club are convinced with him tbh ... ... I reckon they'll see the season out first.
Where has this myth came from about how many loans we can have? And why are folk still referring to it? There are no limits to how many loan players you have e in the EFL, only to how many in each match day squad (5). We could absolutely have 2 more loans, and more if we want.
Maybe we’re just making a few offers as backups so we cover all contingencies and make sure we do get someone in
Would be pointless having more than 5 though, no point paying wages to a player you have to leave out the squad
But you might not need all 6 every match day. There’s still some value in the depth. You wouldn’t have to choose five and hoy one in reserves for rest of season. Different games suit different players etc.
Thing is the loans we are looking at, the parent clubs will expect them to play. I can't see us able to bring loans in that won't even be in the match day squad. So although we can bring as many as we want I'm sure we will only use the 5 that will be in the squad. Otherwise what's the point of bringing them in
I guarantee we ain’t guaranteeing anyone we bring in on loan games, given the quality of our own players. No way are we saying to clubs that folk are nailed on in place of our own players.
