I'm blown away by that. Speakman is a ****ing animal. "Yes you can take our prized academy graduate for less than we'd ideally like and much sooner than we'd ideally like. But we'll have one of your best back please?"
Brighton see something in Watson. He's played 13 first ream games and scored 2 goals in the Championship. Weve seen how JC hasnt taken to the PL. If the fee is as reported that's a massive gamble. Sure to include bonuses and a sell on. If we get someone in, that's a great bit of business. The 5-year plan to get to the PL has got a huge boost imo.
Perhaps not if he means on loan. Brighton may be more than willing to let Adingra come here on loan for 19 games to give him game time whilst using Watson to fill his squad space. Its far fetched and blown me away but I can see it...
That's a 'better £15m' than buying and selling for the same amount ... ... financially this club is in great fettle.
Its risk ain't it I reckon you could be right, if we say went up or even didn't go up...let's say, he scores 5 goals between coming back and the end of the season, his value may stay the same, but if we didn't go up then the ball is still in TW's court. If we did go up, you'd like to think he'd sign on.
Craig Hope’s article - However, Mail Sport can reveal that Sunderland want Ivorian wideman Adingra, if they are to accept an offer from Brighton. That deal would likely be a loan with an obligation to buy if the Black Cats win promotion to the top flight.
