He's a big account and followed by a very reputable journo. There's also not one journo that has came out and said akpom doesn't want to come but one line in an article from a dutch outlet

We can't just dismiss the dutch outlet mind. It will still have been written by a journalist :)

I'm being pedantic but not quite 2 vs 1.

Santi only said we want him, didn't say anything about any progress. Dutch outlet said he doesn't want us. Both of those stories can be completely true and not contradicting.

This new guy saying we're in advanced talks is obviously more "promising".

Its why I'd like Santi to come back and maybe retweet his original tweet saying talks are advanced, or something.

There were similar reports that Le Fee preferred a move back to France or Betis when we were initially linked iirc.
 
For us only having signed one played, it’s certainly not shy of entertainment this window like :emoticon-0102-bigsm
