…. Mykhaylichenko is currently contracted to Dinamo Zagreb, where he is out of favour and is expected to have his contract terminated in the coming days, making him available on a free transfer.
Reports in Ukraine suggested an un-named Championship club were interested in his services, with journalist Igor Burbas claiming that club was Sunderland.
Then Croatian newspaper Rijeka Danas also claim the club is Sunderland and say the player fell out of favour and is set to be released due to using his mobile phone in the dressing room.
The 26-year-old is a full Ukrainian international and was in the squad, alongside Rusyn, during the October internationals….

Speaking as a coach, of not much repute admittedly, we never allow mobiles on once the lads are all in. You are in the team then and not an individual. No headphones, no tapping away, until you are back in your own clothes and coach calls session/matchday over. You should see the clamour for them phones again...
