We do though. Cirkin and Huggins both known to be injury prone but we took the chance on them. Clarke was hopeless when we signed him as was Roberts. Apparently Spence is up for permanent transfer would be good business imo we’ve became a club that brings the best out of these young lads and gives them a club they can call home.
Isn't Spence a rb though mate. We really need a natural left footed player to give us the option of an overlap on that side.

Yeah he is naturally a RB but can play LB, played there a few times for Leeds had a good game against Ipswich when they won 4-0. We tend to invert our RB don’t see it being an issue doing it with Spence and allowing the RB to overlap

Be surprised if we go for him, we still have a few natural rbs and got a few options at lb. Spence is best as a wingback, which we dont play with as gets caught out a lot defensively. Was unreal for forrest as a wingback due to his powerful running.

If the price was right i wouldn't be against him joining on a permanent deal as hes a player with high upside

The return from Leeds would suggest his mentality is what it is. Think about Maguire here and then think about whether we should avoid bad eggs.
Would also be a clash with Pembele, both attacking right backs. We already know the gaps to fill in the squad, bringing in extra players we don’t need just sees them drop to U21 and block someone else’s development.

Been speaking to a mate who’s a Boro fan and he reckons Hackney might be going to Villa and a fee around £10m has mentioned. Lower than both him and I expect but could be much lower benchmark than we thought for Neil.

Kiefer Moore is available.

Frustrating that we know we won’t even look there.
Was thinking about him on my drive home today. I am not his biggest fan at all, and dont think he is Prem level. He would give us a very different option though as his play with back to goal is very good. Someone you can ping it to and he secures it immediately. Midfield runners love that. He will be on some wage though and unless we are prepared to pay a bit more players like him are likely out of our reach.

i think we need to use this window just to get the experience in, the (obvious) lack of it within the squad keeps rearing it's ugly face, three quick example top of my head, playing 10 men and could not find a way through, losing dan neil and not having the nous to play it tight, this derby game where the lads looked overawed and struggled to cope.

being able to get a couple of blokes onto the pitch that can see how the game is going and move others around when needed is valuable...these lads can play but they need help at times to progress, taking jobe as an example here i think everyone has noticed his 'drive' seems to have fallen off, the lad is a teenager playing his first constant season.
