Smug i dont, but what i do think is, we are at a bit of a cross roads, Juan will be gone soon enough, and i think if we don't go up next season a fair few fans might have had enough of a young billionaire not spending to get us where we should be.
KLD said from the start he wanted to be running a sustainable club not throwing money at it for the sake of it , the January market has been very quiet probably due to the new financial rules being introduced . Fascinating that our billionaire neighbours from up the road were scared to spend anything so we have outspent them which is evidence of our policy of buying young talent and developing them whilst still progressing is working . We could have sold some of our better players but we will probably get more from waiting till the summer window and hopefully some of our fringe players will have progressed to be ready to replace them . KLD prioritised the management structure and we have made good progress without jeopardising the club as other clubs have hit financial problems gone bust or been docked points - I know which strategy I am happier SAFC to take

That gets me. Why SHOULD we be there? The prem league is a closed shop with the top 6 throwing scraps off for the rest to fight over. I'm quite happy watching the football that we've been playing (apart from some games under Mowbray/Beale) rather than getting humped every week. I would rather wait until the team we are building is ready to go up rather than having KLD paying over the odds for players - seen how that one turned out and didn't really like it
We have a shocking fan base at times and it kills me to say that. Ppl behind us at the match booing Ba on to the pitch other week, embarrassing. I agree we need to invest in a striker etc but overall since these came in we’ve been promoted and playoffs last year and pushing it again this year, overall we are improving but we sound entitled.

Assume styles is done then if we’re willing to let matete go, think he do well there

Just seen on twitter Boro are in for both Benson and Langstaff, who’s a Boro supporter. That won’t go down well here :D

I'm at the tipping point whereby I want him to succeed more to kick people in the balls than for the good of the club ...

... how did it ever come to this, damn the internet <laugh>

Same mate. Remember before social when was just folk you knew and had craic with.

Socials have united and divided in crazy equal measures.

At Roker, for decades, we'd meet up, argue, discuss the latest ...

... then march down to the ground, together and full of enthusiasm with everyone else.

It didn't always last long but we all felt part of something.

Things have changed
