Adam Lewis has no English League experience but has played 9 times for Amiens in the French Ligue 2 before Christmas....lets hope he is not too in experienced...because we could do with a genuine wing-back....at 21 yrs of age he did turn out once for Liverpool in the FA Cup competition last season.

In his video interview he said that he was an attack minded wing-back...but it did come over that he wasn't too defensive in his approach.... he reckoned that he is a good crosser of the ball....although he played 9 times for Amiens he didn't feel he got enough games and that it didn't work out too well for him.

This is what Steven Gerrard said about Adam Lewis in 2017:

“Going forward, I haven’t seen anyone as good as him at that age in terms of quality and what he can deliver in the final third.”

Quite an endorsement.

Why do new players say that Argyle are a 'massive club'....recent players have come from... Forest,.Newcastle.Fulham and now Liverpool are they only little clubs then.

It seems that Argyle put in a modest offer for Janoi Donacien, Defender from Ipswich...who hasn't played first team football this season....Ipswich rejected Argyle's offer.

Ryan Lowe has suggested that Luke Jephcott has a value of £3.5million with speculation that Nottingham Forest are interested in him.

Accrington are supposed to be interested in Scott Wootton....which is fine....but we need someone to replace him first.

Well the talk tonight is that Niall Ennis from Wolves is about to sign an 18 month contract with Argyle.

So we gain another striker....and we might be losing another defender.

Don't you just love this time of year in football. Wootton has been panned by a lot of supporters and blamed for all sorts. We may need a defender but by way of the criticism why would we want to keep him as one of them. If he's that bad then he's a liability surely. Lets also be honest and say that our best pairing up front are Jephcott and Hardie, The others haven't exactly ripped up any trees have they. So if we are to change things as has been suggested by many in a game, and you plym, then why don't we need a better alternative than the ones we have? Hardie played a blinder last season coming on as a super sub so if we have another reliable forward onboard then he could go back to being that for us again. I cannot believe that Argyle won't be in the market for a defender or two anyway.

I hope this doesn't mean that Innis might be replacing Jephcott.....who could well be prised away if the fee was good enough.

Wolves have announced that Niall Ennis has joined Argyle full time on a 18 month deal.

Confirmed by Argyle.....length of contract is actually two and a half years......so is he here to replace Abrahams....or Jephcott.

Some wild claim that Newcastle have bought Jephcott for £1million.....I doubt that....even Argyle wouldn't give him away for such a small amount

I read that about Newcastle last night and had a look around the various sites including the gossip ones. Not a sniff of a mention about either Jephcott or Newcastle. Think it might not be true. Don't think Innis is an Abrahams replacement. He was on loan and didn't really play for us did he. Minor appearances only. I can well believe that he is as well as the ones we have left rather than a replacement for anyone. We will see soon enough. This sounds like a half decent signing. Again we will see in due course.

With all due respect to Luke Jephcott who's doing a great job, it is amazing there's apparently such a frenzy about a player who was on loan at Truro City 18 months ago.

It's true it's fans and social media are the ones that promote it but it's symptomatic of how crazy football is.

You are right notdistant it is fan generated stuff most of the time and only that. However, it is also true that Jephcott has emerged from his slumber and developed into a bit of a butterfly. We all know that natural goal scorers don't grow on trees and when any club thinks they have one then the fans will big it up with Management stoking the boilers. If Lowe came out and said "I like Jephcott and he has potential but I think he would only fetch £300k at a car boot sale" then the supporters would be going gaga. If supporters want to believe he is worth £3m+ to their club then why would any Manager spoil that. The proof always comes when an offer is received or in some cases never comes. I think in this day and age Jephcott should warrant an offer above the million mark given his current form and record since joining the first team but then again I along with all the other speculators don't have to pay it.
