I got the feeling that Prutton was about to say something negative on the latest podcast about Sorba, but stopped himself. It would fit with other stuff I've read.

Not heard it but I did read some from Huddersfield fans, not all great but also some good but I also think we have a good dressing room now and team seems to be a lot happier under Selles so would not want that to be spoiled if that was the case, on the other hand he might respond really well to someone like Selles and his man management skills, but main point was rather we spent that money on bringing a perm transfer so he has remaining part of season to bond and adjust so for once we don’t keep chopping and changing and Selles has the players now going into next season and a settled team.

I've read about some of his attitude issues but I think the Prutton thing was just the way Baz pronounced Nantes, sounded like the nonce squad. If that is the bit you're talking about.

I don’t think city should get blinkered by this Charlie from the saints, we could be ****ed around to a point where we wont have enough time for another target. Watford are in for him now and apparently he’s waiting for anything better. **** him off and look elsewhere
Considering it was a decision in 24 hours three days ago, **** him.

And honesty, ok we’re not the strongest at left back but unless Acun has pretensions on doing a Forest, surely we have enough in house to cover left back until the end of the season?

Think English is his second language but it does give a different perspective on the protracted loan/transfer.

Southampton fullback's January exit seems less likely this week

ByMehdi Gokal|11 hours ago. Southampton defender Charlie Taylor's move to Hull City looked on the cusp last week. But scenarios have changed now, making Taylor's departure complicated. Southampton's winter transfer window has shown promise for the season ahead. Despite being without a specific plan, the Saints have done an impressive job in addressing the squad overload issues.

Still, a brilliant end is needed to make the transfer window a success. In particular, some impactful signings and a final trimming of the squad would be enough.
But, as has been Southampton's fate all along, an easy transfer end feels far for them.

Not much ago, Southampton felt close to departing defender Carlie Taylor on a Hull City loan. But, sadly, the move that would have simplified their squad dynamics further, feels close to a collapse.
Southampton fullback's January exit seems less likely this week
As per HullLive, the Tigers are ready to change their interest in Taylor, if situations demand. Being relegation-prone, Hull would target other alternatives if a move for Taylor feels uncertain.

This comes after the Championship club hasn't heard from Charlie Taylor in a while.
Though the loan was verbally agreed between the clubs previously, Taylor's affirmation was required to finalize a move. But no reaction from his entourage has left Ruben Selles' side in suspense.
Disappointingly, if things continue the way they are, Hull might pursue other options, given a single week is left till the deadline.
In this case, it isn't about the money the Saints are losing on the table but most importantly, a compacted squad.
Having arrived with a huge promise at St. Mary's, one of the major issues faced by boss Ivan Juric has been the overabundance dilemma. And, if untouched, unfavored players like Charlie Taylor continue, that condition isn't improving any soon.

Very talented, already made his national team debut. Portsmouth aren't just picking Aussies up for the hell of it, they've made some very astute and relatively cheap signings.
