When it comes to pace in past players, there isn’t many faster than Leigh Jenkinson, if any!
If I remember correctly, he reached the final of all football club’s fastest players back in the early 90’s, either on the BBC or ITV.
Beat me to it!
He'd have won that final if he hadn't insisted on doing his 'shuffle' every 20 metres.

Speaking of pacey wingers, Leroy Lita is still playing in non league for Barwell FC and got caught knock a door running the same house repeatedly after training <laugh>

Yeah, I can understand that, but he's a bit like Koren or Geovanni. When the team plays badly, he goes missing. When the team plays well, he looks electric. He joined a team pushing for the playoffs and was full of confidence. This season we've been largely **** and he's not shown his quality. Selles wants players who can take a game by the scruff and change it, not players who are only useful when we are winning.

But if that's the case he didn't exactly get a load of goals or assists when full of confidence

I know there's still a way to go, but under selles we've got 14 points in 10 games which would have had us about 11th if we'd have gotten that from day one so I'm relatively confident of championship football next year.

Given that, I'm pleased with the team and manager were building to actually start the summer with without requiring a full rebuild.

Think we'll have a strong top half squad with 2 or 3 needed to push for the top 6.

I think that's the biggest thing, finally not needing a big rebuild this summer.

The difference being that this season that when our loan players go back they won’t massively weaken the team (potentially Barry excepted).

I also hope we don’t have to sell our prize assets. Losing Greaves, Delap, Philogene and Morton in one go was always going to make life difficult.

(particularly when you hire a madman to coach the team).

The thing with loaning wingers this Jan is - we don’t need to replace them in the summer.

The replacements are already here and we know they are pretty decent. Barry is potentially a great signing but if he’s not here next season it definitely doesn’t leave us in the same position we had last year with a load of our squad.

The only issue we have is that Belloumi and Millar might not be good to go from August. If we got Barry next season and Gelhardt on a permanent I think we’d be well covered.

Gelhardt i can see happening, great player at this level by the looks of it but he's not getting in that Leeds team. We're close and he's already here so just makes sense.

Even if Millar and Belloumi aren't available this year we've still got Kamara, Joseph, Vaughan and Burstow to get us by. But yes Barry and gelhardt added to that helps massively.
