Work in progress starting to take shape now. Some astute arrivals and possibly more to come yet. Barry a nice surprise, guarantee of game time perhaps. Wingback arguably still needed. Once injurious clear up we should have a decent squad again.

UTT.

Left back. We don't play wingbacks.

I think it will be Burstow and Barry fighting for LWF, with Gelhardt and Kamara battling for RWF.

Think all will get game time, starters running at defences, then fresh legs for 20-30 mins at the end. Similar with Joseph/Pedro.
Possibly I just can’t see him playing much , nothing against him . Barry and Geldhart can also play up front can’t they , so I would think they Can cover the 3rd choice CF , and doesn’t Lincoln also play left wing, I just think there’s 2 ahead of him in each position so if we got an offer I wouldn’t be surprised if he was let go on loan , that’s all

It’s just further scatter gun approach tho isn’t it
Or is burstow going the way of Simons but In a shorter space of time

imho we’ve already got enough to avoid relegation seems crazy to spend more now and pay inflated prices

I kind of agree, if the rumoured £1m loan fee is correct, unless there’s an option to buy in the summer, in which case it would almost be foolish not to take the opportunity whilst it’s there. So long as it is actually affordable both now and in the summer of course.

Good point, completely forgot about Lincoln! Talk about going from famine to feast!
I cant see Burstow getting the spot up top ahead of Joseph/Pedro/Gelhardt.

Barrys loan fee is circa £1 million apparently...

BTW also reading Stoke have signed Al Hamadi on loan from Ipswich...
Surely if it was that amount it would be a loan longer than 15/weeks. If it went into next season or came off a option to buy then I can see it.

just been watching some louie barry on youtube.haven't seen anyone nearly that fast since a 16ish year old theo walcott landed in hull with southampton. i told a mate after that match that i'd just seen a future england player. unfortunately arsenal ruined him. he'd've been better off left at southampton for a few more years.

as for barry, four things; one, he's going to be our top scorer this season; two, he'll play for england; three, we'll finish top half; and four, somewhere later in his career some agricultural defenders are going to give him several good kickings, assuming they can get anywhere near him.

also looked the post-hcafc stats for philogene. what a disaster. looks like serious mishandling to me. nothing for villa, and two heavy defeats with ipswich, 0-6 and 1-4. admittedly against liverpool and man city, but the lad's on his way back to the second flight. perhaps he can rediscover some form next season.

I agree, it seems the opposite of what Selles would need right now. He wants fewer bodies and a tighter knit squad fighting for each other. I worry Acun is just creating issues for him.
