Suspect Barry is to help ensure we stay up. Then Thomas more about the rebuild ready for next season. ? Barry for 18 months would be good still.
Now for overdue strengthening of our defence (as in added quality not numbers).
Fair play to Acun, not bad considering he's so clearly lost interest, going to sell, etc and maybe if we can just get a couple more quality loans in it might put to bed the myth that they only came because of Rosenior. :emoticon-0138-think

I think it's fair to say many didn't come because of Walter. And who can blame them in retrospect.

Summer prior to 23/24 we'd just finished 15th and weren't a very exciting prospect. Summer just gone we sacked Rosenior and replaced him with Tim Walter. I suspect next summer might be a bit better.

Someone on X said we may have an option-to-buy. I think that’s unlikely. However, if he plays well and we stay up, we could have him back for next season.

Doesn't put to bed the idea they didn't come for Walter though, does it?

Barry makes more sense to me. He's more of a goal threat, prefers playing on the left and I have some doubts over Sorbas attitude. I'd much prefer we use a loan as a stop gap and then reassess in the summer. I'm not against signing Thomas but it means we'd be going into next year with him, Kamara and Belloumi who are all much more effective on the right, whilst only Millar who is comfortable on the left.
He's also most likely going to be available for another loan in the summer. If he comes here and does a good job for the next few months, there's every chance we get him back.
