Does seem like exactly what we need in terms of his physicality in advanced areas, his goal record and the fact that most of those goals seem to come from attacking crosses. He looks to have that Meyler-esque knack of being in the right space in the box at the right time and a finishing ability in excess of his technical ability more generally. Jackson Irvine had that for a while too before he became ****, and Slater has it at times but he's been missing those chances in more recent times as we're all aware. Seems like a really important and valuable skill to me.
Probably a better leader. Dont think he’s as good with the ball though.
