We haven’t got a creative midfielder fit who actually creates. I genuinely forgot Omur was playing against Boro granted he was out on the wing
I got thinking about why Omur looked a different player last season. I can remember him winning the ball on the right hand side of our half on a number of occasions, shimmying away from his marker, running diagonally with the ball beyond the centre circle and stroking sumptuous passes to a colleague.
The thing was that that colleague was Jaden Philogene, Fabio Carvalio or Liam Delap…
He may not be playing as well this season as last but that isn’t the only reason he’s looked so ineffective.
Omur looked like an astute signing when he first arrived, this season zero end product and gets knocked off the ball too easily for me.
That’s the rumour. People are just putting 2+2 together I think because Dublin signed Cundle at Stoke.
I do think you’re right that it’s a big factor that those around him right now aren’t on the same wavelength. I do also think he personally isn’t quite meeting those heights. Theres rumours Sellés likes him and I’m guessing it’s his work rate. I really want him to work out but he needs to find form fairly quick
Knowing us I reckon it could be a defender and wing back who can also play winger and striker!
