Would be interesting if Millar, Puerta and Belloumi would stick around for league 1. If they did we probably would be in a good place to come straight back
Baz seems to think we have to ship players out before we can bring any in which is why Mehlem is going? But not sure that's right?
We can't improve the squad and cut it in number to Selles preference at the same time any other way.
Would you trade Mehlem out for possibly Tufan? It's likely still a net loss to make it happen, but signing first and thinking about outs later is probably risking a points deduction.
I mean we could sign 3 players tomorrow by deregistering Zambrano, Belloumi and Millar and then sell/loan out Longman and Mehlem, and send back Rushworth, Bedia and Burns later in the window and achieve both. Baz seemed to be suggesting we physically can't sign a player until we get rid of Mehlem.
Reckon we can send Coyle, Slater, Longman and McLoughlin with him as well?
Maybe we can transfer out 25 players this window and bring 25 new players in.
Hopefully the infamous brain team can attempt to over the course of the coming weeks.
I don't know why Baz has become so obsessed with registration of players in the 25-man squad. I always thought it was much more flexible than he keeps making out, along the lines of how other replies on here have said it works. I'm pretty sure we can sign a player whenever we want, and it's just a question of juggling the 25-man squad after the window closes. I'm pretty sure we juggled a similar situation two years ago when we also had a big squad and there wasn't this fuss about it. I think we actually left some players out of the 25 that year.
Money doesn't matter until June, whether we bring in players tomorrow or on Jan 30 is irrelevant.
