If you have the headroom to do it, then alls well and good, but if you don't and one of the outgoings falls through you just end up with a bloated squad and a potentially unhappy/disruptive squad member and possible points deduction.

I'm not convinced in this window we have that wiggle room.
 
How does the club go on with the number of players in the squad? Do we have to de-register some players before we can add new names to our 25 man squad?

We shifted out Jarvis and Mehlem before we brought these 2 in. With Zambrano, Millar and Belloumi able to be deregistered it would seem to me that shifting out before we bring in is more to do with finances or squad balance as opposed to simply available squad registration spaces.

Older players maybe. Bit different when it's a younger player with clear potential.

You're going on like we'd be signing a lower league journeyman. That's obviously not the intention here.
 
Just seen an FB post, Sinik & Omur both in Turkey, hopefully looking for another club.

It won't be an issue.

For the first half of the season we had a full 25 plus Harvey Cartwright not registered. At the time the squad was named we only had 23 but we left two spaces rather than name our 5th choice keeper, which allowed us to later sign Pedro and Alzate.

Right now, we have 27 overage players in total at the club including Cartwright and Brandon Fleming. We will be moving on several of those though, and others can be left off the post-January list if necessary as has been discussed. If the likes of Cartwright and Fleming are still at the club, they can just be left off the list if we have 25 others and have no intention of using them.

You say this but crooks was said to be done on the Tuesday and was announced on the Friday or Saturday. He had been intended to be in the squad for Millwall. Gelhardt was also meant to be signed early in the week but only announced today. No one's suggesting everyone should just sign in 24 hours, it's the gap between signings being reported as being done and them actually being done. We agreed a fee for this winger over a week ago.

Gelhardt was obviously done before today as he's been training with us. Club announcements are very rarely done on the same day they player actually sings, bar deadline day obviously

Thats fine if it's the case and he's in the squad for Millwall, but we all thought that about crooks and he wasn't in the Donny squad.

Crooks was never going to be in the squad for Donny, he went back to the USA after signing for us to finalise a few things as far as I'm aware
