Modds can i counter the argument to having a sticky for rumours n shizz , because as threads get merged the can become unreadable , plus when theres 3 pages in an 18 page thread coz people are arguing make it crap .
Keeping the separate means i dont have to open the Manucho , Messi and Barton threads .
No to Stickies Ra ra raaaa !!
But if you ask Arsenal and Fulham fans, I'm sure Stockdale would come with a higher recommendation.I didn't want to post anything negative on Saturday, but Stockdale had a real stinker against Cardiff. He dropped the ball a lot and 80% of his goal kicks went straight out. His long throws were good and set up a few promising breaks, but overall he was poor.
From what I've seen he's a fairly solid keeper, but nothing special and he has a real problem judging high crosses when the penalty area is packed.
I hate criticising City players, but I think Mannone would be a much better option than Stockdale who would be a good No.2 if Fulham's price was reasonable (and he was willing, which I doubt considering lack of games was why he was unhappy in London.)

The question is how much does Papa and Bruce want to spend on the GK department. the problem is that all clubs know we are in need of a 1st choice keeper so we will get quoted silly money for any we enquire for in this country (£4 million for Stockdale being the obvious one and I don't think Stoke would sell us Sorenson on the cheap) So we may see a foreign keeper signed as Bruce signed Al Habsi at Wigan

I'm afraid I really don't rate Stockdale, I can barely remember him ever making a save. Yes the players like him, but they also like Mclean....
He's made a good save already
