Sounds like we've got ourselves a team, shall we put an 11 aside together?

Attacking midfielder in my youth days when my team used to rip the tyro league a new one. Since then I've been part of a few academies including Saints but with injuries it never happend for me, aswell with a few off the field problems. Havent kicked a ball since , spose I just lost the love of playing. Still proud of the lad's from back then have made it pretty big clubs in the Football league and Prem.

... I still play in a vets team...
What's your rate right now then? I'm getting £23 for 70 minutes...
I coach under 11s. Sorry to hear about your issues; keep positive when you can.
When I have kids i'm hoping my son has my Dad's sporting genes as they seemed to have missed me completely! Good luck with your health issues, hope you win your battle.
After a great one-two with you, it was!
I'll take that as a complimentYou were the Messi of the team, the amount of goals you came up with.
Can play anywhere except in goal, mainly played upfront as I was rapid and knew where the goal was. Played a few games at CB and on the wing.
Started off playing as the left forward of a 3-4-3, scored 100 goals in two years (32) games. another 15 in 9 cup games. Occasionally played CB to give another guy a chance up top.
After two years moved up a division, played up top banged in 38 goals in the first season. Seond season banged in 22 before xmas then got injured, tore my aductor. carried on playing in a DM role as I couldn't sprint.
End of the season, left for Salisbury played on the right side of 4-3-3, first year dicked all over the league, banged in 18 goals which wasn't bad seeing as I was playing on a side that I wasn't used to.
Second season played the same position again, or right midfield depending what formation we played, Scored 9 goals before smashing my back up in a horrible incident, didn't played 2 more games for Salisbury from the bench scoring 1 goal.
Whilst at salisbury played 14 reserve games, got paid (at 16 £50 for pissing around on a footy pitch was ****ing brilliant). Played upfront in all the games, scored 12.
Hovered in and out of Portsmouths feeder academy as they didn't have one of their own as well as having periods in saints academy. I didn't start playing until I was 10 so don't think i've done badly.
Came back to play mens football when I was fit again. Played hampshire league which was a pretty average level but I was easy to get match fitness back. Moved to a wessex team, got injured again, gave up and went back to Hampshire league and played when back from uni.
Mainly played CM or 'in the hole' in mens football, as it was so easy to tear defences open. Scored double figures as well. Played about 10 games up top as a target man, although i'm only 5'9, i'm yet to find someone that can beat me in the air. Also the reason i've filled in at CB when needed.
Oh yeah, played district and county as well.
You sound as injury prone as Lee Holmes!!! Do you think you could've made it to League2/Conference level without the injuries?
£16-£18 on adults leagues, £14 U18's, £23 Wessex League line.
Aged 29. Former football genius.
Played striker through tyro football. Scored 11 goals in one match before, still got the pink echo headline somewhere. Played tyro rep team and represented Southampton u16 in a tournament in germany.
Also never lost a competitive match for my school team that won every trophy possible.
Converted to left wing (both footed) for youth football. Free kick specialist. Scored a few goals from my own half. Had a lot of skill, pace and rocket shot.
Aged 22 went on to manage own team in top division of commercial houses league. Fairly successful, played centre mid. Gerardesque.
Scored so many goals but all distant memories.
Hit 26, lost the passion to play Saturday's but played 5's through work and won a few tournaments...Also played at st marys and carrow road.
Rarely play anymore, fitness is terrible, hence reliving my glory days in the form of this message.
Nice thread chap!
