In fairness to Piskie, I don't. I hated the thought of milk in mash as a kid. It goes with my dislike of cheese, so anything that was milk and butter was a no, no. Thinking about it, I would always add gravy, so where does this logic of milk come from and what's the point, once it's saturated in bisto.

Milk and bisto, yuk. <whistle>
Yeah but you're freely admitting it's a you thing, the rest of the world puts milk in there. Don't give him an out. :biggrin:

I made a garlic butter using crushed garlic which I added to butter <ok>
 
Never tried that.

You'd love it. It's still got a garlic taste without being crazy overpowering. And the pickling makes it nice and crunchy.

Can be difficult to get it fresh though, lots of the stuff in jars is a bit meh

Probably. Doing some noodles but I've posted that type of dish many times.

I love shellfish and those prawns wouldn't last long on my plate, that would be my starter. I'd probably lob the squid in the bin though.
