    Mash looks fantastic

Biryani looking rice for me tonight…not quite a biryani…I don’t really like biryanis…this what I’m making is what homemade savoury rice was back in the day with a curry/biryani sauce

Just made a cup of tea.
I find adding a bit of near boiling water to the tea bag really adds to the texture.
    Slides down the throat.

Along with mash, some people might want to add a splash of milk to their tea.

One of the few things my old dear actually taught me cooking wise. Though I very rarely make it.

Maybe it's just in Cornwall where these things aren't known <whistle>

In fairness to Piskie, I don't. I hated the thought of milk in mash as a kid. It goes with my dislike of cheese, so anything that was milk and butter was a no, no. Thinking about it, I would always add gravy, so where does this logic of milk come from and what's the point, once it's saturated in bisto.

    Milk and bisto, yuk. <whistle>
