I'm not sure how my statement compares. Robins (my apologies) did well when Cov had a wonder striker, O'hare and others. So to compare Robins and Walter makes sense. As both have had to get grips with losses in talent. And both have ultimately struggled. We probably won't get either of Robins or Schumacher anyway. It will likely be another of Acun’s mates from Georgia or wherever else.

I'm not quite sure what you're getting at with the 'wonder striker' comment. Cov almost made the play offs last season without Gyokores, they won two promotions from League Two and League One, they made an FA Cup SF last season too.

Captain Birdseye could be here for a while with the injuries covering over the cracks. Along with late summer recruitment it's not all his fault but his style of play is clearly unsuitable to championship football. Who's in charge of setting up January recruitment and running the club in the UK now that Tan has done a runner?

Walter will be in charge of the German Winter Wonderland Xmas market at the MKM. Warm mulled wine with herbs floating in it, over-seasoned sausages and steiners of foamy pilsner. Chewy curly bread, sugary dried fruit and marsipan. City and Luton fans marvelling at baby reindeers stood in hastily built stables, before travelling south for the game, and a Teutonic nativity scene with Hitler ironically as Herod. Only he knows how to do it.

Luton fans are going to travel up here to marvel at baby reindeers before heading home to Luton?

If only our Xmas markets were as good as the German ones…

If Walter gets the market authentic, and the advertising is directed to the right Luton fans, they will come. A boys choir singing "Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht" will have the Men in Gear pacified from the off.

That sounds marvelous

Enjoyed it there, more than one market and a boat which is completely devoted to chocolate products. Although smaller really enjoyed the one in very pretty place Rudesheim. Some other things worth a visit there like the musical museum.

Cologne cathedral is my fav
