By saying that Robins has much better runs on the board than Walter in England? Yeah I don't think I'm doing that. I've had this dance with Tigerboy already. Tell you what, you tell me how confident you are that Walter will have another job in England if we sack him, and how confident you are that Robins will have another job in England and maybe that can end this discussion.
So, the fact McCann got another job in England makes him a better manager than Rosie going by Syd’s convoluted thought processes.
Walter wont He will be back home with tails between his legs And he can take his cheesy goal music To a worse mickey mouse league
Eh? Nope, I was simply replying to your post which said nothing more than .... "That would be like saying Nuno is as good a manager as Arteta because of how Forest have started the season"!!! I simply said "perhaps he is ....". Nothing about Robbins, Walter, Schumaker, anybody else! Anyway, in answer to your further questions, which have nothing to do with your post and my reply (as above), but as I'm polite and accommodating.... I doubt we'd ever see Walter in England again were Acun to sack him now, or at least certainly not for a long time. I'm pretty sure Robbins will soon have another decent job over here (if that's what he wants). I would see Robbins as a tad underwhelming, safe appointment. Maybe that wouldn't be a bad thing after what we've had in recent years. I would say Schumaker would be another gamble and one that would also leave me underwhelmed. Skubula has also been mentioned; another underwhelming gamble. Probably Robbins would be a sensible option (if he wanted the job).
Yes, you do realise my comment on Nuno was underlining how stupid it is to make an assessment on a small sample, right? If you want to say Nuno is a better manager, absolutely go ahead, but I specified (and I note you included it in your quote ) that it would be like making the assessment because of how Forest have started the season. Also his name is Robins, not Robbins.
Must be terrible playing every game in front of 57,000 people who are actually making a noise in a Mickey Mouse League. What does that make our league, a mini Minnie Mouse League. Not that goal music would affect you as you are never there.
If you like choreographed singing so much Join a choir lad Our fans noise is raw, passion, fire And despite relegation form We will sell out away end at luton Fact Not many clubs would sell out with our situation
I would think that Mark Robins would want a breather before getting back into the maelstrom of managing a Championship team - especially one that is struggling in the lower half of the table. If Walter is to leave us soon - it's not something I endorse but who knows how Acun will react - then I'd be surprised if Robins is a contender for his replacement. Time will tell.
We’re a club that’s spending good money, not so many of those in the championship. Surely most would take the opportunity whilst it’s there?
With an owner who talks directly to the manager. While our transfer business hasn't been amazing, I would think any ambitious manager would be keen to jump in and get their hands dirty.
That should be all we need. I would say as a caveat I heard an interesting story today on a podcast about the fact that King fired him because after he dismissed his assistant manager results turned badly, so I do wonder how he would go assembling a new team to work with. I think he's shown enough over the years to overcome that but it does explain why Cov got rid.
I'm not sure how my statement compares. Robins (my apologies) did well when Cov had a wonder striker, O'hare and others. So to compare Robins and Walter makes sense. As both have had to get grips with losses in talent. And both have ultimately struggled. We probably won't get either of Robins or Schumacher anyway. It will likely be another of Acun’s mates from Georgia or wherever else.
So? Winning a league title isn't an easy feat. We've won 1 in 50 odd years lets not discredit fair achievements
