I do question his judgment when taking the job, even if all the signings went as promised, he’d still have to gel an almost completely new team, and achieve play-offs as a minimum to avoid taking the club backwards.

Why would he turn it down, it's an invite to English football and if he does well he'll have plenty of interested teams above us, if he didn't then he'd leave, head back to Germany with his reputation over there intact... Not sure why anyone would question his/anyone's judgement for trying to better/improve themselves

What’s his reputation in Germany actually like? He’s not had much in the way of success despite managing some big clubs in Bundesliga 2. A premature sacking in England is hardly going to enhance that reputation if he returns to Germany.
