He's got a great reputation across there, very well liked. If he's stitched up ( like he is ATM by the club ) and then sacked, the people who matter across football will know that and his reputation won't be tarnished. Moving across here will only help him imo.
I don't understand this feeling towards him. It reminds me of when my wife has a go at me for being 'off with her' or never at home. Yes, I'm grafting my nuts off trying to ensure we can get that loft conversion done love!! Sorry for not texting you. One minute people are suggesting Acun keeps quiet and stop telling journalists who he is trying to sign and the next they are upset because he hasn't communicated to fans why they are not blowing money on crap players anymore. Is it really beyond the realms of possibility that, as a new owner, he has learnt from his mistakes of opening his mouth and signing players the manager doesn't want and has cleared the decks ready for Tim to bring in the exact players he wants? The market is slow and we have been gazumped a couple of times. Its really not an issue if we have a slow start due to getting players in a bit later than we would ideally.
I'll be shocked if he doesn't walk by Christmas. He's getting more and more frustrated in interviews.
I'm sorry. He's looking out of his depth, even with what he's been given, it's shambolic. Big month for the guy.
Im not going to say Walter should go, its way too early for that even if the early signs aren't good. What I will say though is Acun has got it wrong again. Shota, Liam and now Walter.. It's almost like he doesnt want to do it the easy way and get a steady, proven, maybe even boring manager in. He wants headlines, he wants attention on finding the next best thing so he ends up looking good. The truth is if he got a tried and tested manager in years ago we'd be in a much better state than we're in now. It's going to be a long season..
The best system in the world is useless if you can’t get your players to execute it. He needs to adapt to the squad he has, either by changing the system entirely or gradually introducing the system as players learn it. Right now he’s just deluded, we’re completely vulnerable at the back and absolutely dire up front, and he refuses to change.
Stick with him. No one with any pedigree I this league wants to come and work for the mad turk anyway.
15 new players, Most haven’t been here since the start of the season. And he can’t get them playing against two of the teams favourite for promotion. have a word with yourselves.
He turned down a couple. Plymouth definitely, probably Sunderland. So that's bollocks, now he's in a better job than objectively you could call this one.
It’s hard to properly judge Walter as he’s been dealt a ****ty hand in my opinion. On the other hand you’d think he’d realise that and adapt accordingly. I think i’m erring on the side of that he’s out of his depth with whats required in the championship.
